Hello, I know I am new here, but the site seems to be overloaded A LOT ! I create and manage the web infrastructure for my company (Linux servers, docker swarms, Traefik and NGINX proxies, VOIP, live events etc).
I am sure I can give a hand with the issues that will only grow as the site gets more and more attention :)
Hello guys, I am a newbee here! I used to bee good... REALLY good at SNES Donkey kong country (mostly the original cartridge). When the N64 came out, I inherited the entire SNES collection from my aunt's video rental store (long story of a bankrupted distributor that never came back to claim the older games). I even had some rarities, such as NTSC Zelda, a link to the past in French (Canada only), and the Donkey Kong Country Competition Cartridge... I never really played the competition cart as it was not the complete game and was "worthless" in my mind... So little did I know!
Time has passed and my mom gave my SNES and game collection to a family in needs at Christmas, and the console got lost in time when they moved.
Here I am, many years later, gathering some old consoles and cartridges, playing with my kids (and alone a lot!). I recently started playing some DKC and realised that I haven't lost "the touch"... Of course, my LCD TV gives me some hard time as the small delay is still noticeable, but I will have a CRT as soon as I find a nice one nearby (SONY Trinitron or equivalent).
So here I am, wondering if I could attempt some speed-running on DKC. I started to look at the categories and guides, realizing that I was doing the "rolling" trick a lot without noticing, since forever!
So here are few questions for you guys (and girls):
- Is playing on an original SNES, with a SD2SNES cart allowed?
- Why isn't there a category for the competition cartridge on this site?
- Who should I follow on Youtube for that particular game?
