That would be interesting, but afaik, Fanfest has been canceled this year.

The Solo and Cooperative categories are unsynced.

RT70 means Road to 70, it's a buff on certain servers that gives you increased xp gains until you reach level 70. NoRT70 means you can't use that buff.

Just figured I let you guys know that Heroes' Gauntlet isn't added into the run list yet.

Also Seat of Sacrifice and Puppets' Bunker likewise appear to be missing

If it's a glitch that is no longer available, I would say remove them or at least archive them as it gives an unfair advantage to people that no one can match

California, USANeflarion3 years ago

Only 1 of them spawns per run.

So I was bored today and in SW and figured I'd do this just for fun. It's a speed run of only Stockades. Enjoy.

Flooded how? If you mean there would be a lot of dungeons to scroll through to find what they want sure. You can add section markers to break it up how ever you wanted. Yeah, it'll be a lot of work 1 time to add them all in, but then they're added and you don't have to add them in again. At that point it's just a matter of adding the new dungeons as they're added to the game and verifying run times.

Either way, going to need a citation for your claim of there being a lot of people against it. Just a cursory look through the forums doesn't bear that claim out.

Pretty sure it's possible. FFXIV has 265 dungeons, raids, other content listed as individual levels, and is even missing some.

WoW Clocks in at 205 dungeons including all difficulties but timewalking, but not including raids and raid difficulties.

That said, I'd also like to voice my support for individual dungeons.

So... just screw the player with random luck of the draw. I mean there is a difference between RNG and penalizing a player for other people. I don't agree with your position whether it be MSQ or NG+. Again, getting screwed by built in RNG in a run is one thing, getting screwed because other players that likely don't know and/or don't care about your run is another.

California, USANeflarion4 years ago

So with NG+ there are going to be points in the story when we're going to have to run through a dungeon. Are those going to be counted as time during the run? Are they going to be excluded? Is the time waiting in queue going to be excluded?

I would vote that the time in queue and the time in the dungeon should be excluded from the time in the run as those are variables beyond the control of the runner.

For instance I have all the roles maxed out and I am a dps main. I can easily run through the outer world story parts on my dps with my deepshadow gear, and quickly breeze through the few fights the MSQ throws at you, and when I get to a dungeon, switch to tank or healer for the instant queue. How the dungeon goes is not entirely up to me, but even a few extra minutes with a slow group would likely be out paced by a dps sitting in the queue for 10+ minutes and then gets a slow group.

I mean... it depends on the category of the run. Most games that allow the circumvention of game mechanics or glitching to get to places faster or the player wouldn't have access to until later on in the game have separate categories for those runs. If people want a cutscene skip category for Castrum or Praetorium, they should make a case for that category.

California, USANeflarion4 years ago

You can do a synced dungeon with a full premade party, just people don't usually want to I suppose.

California, USANeflarion4 years ago

I would call it cheating. The cutscenes are not intended to be skippable. This would be a clear example of someone doing something to circumvent game mechanics.

The Shadowbringers dungeons that can be run with trusts need their own tab. Yoshi P has said that trusts are intended to be slower then a player group, so to compare them to player groups would be unfair.

Just going to point out, that BRD isn't really a dash in terms of the rest of them. BRD is a jump back, so to use it effectively in a speed run, you have to run through the mob, turn 180, use Repelling Shot and then turn back 180 in the middle of the jump.

Though, I leave on turn towards target when you use abilities, so the game will auto turn me in the correct direction for the BRD jump back. So that does help if you want to use BRD.

So you mean like any time spent in queue for and inside the required dungeons is just not counted? I kind of agree with that. Even if you get a fast queue you can end up in a slow/bad group and it take far longer then it realistically should to do the required dungeons through no fault of your own.

As far as segmented runs are concerned. There is a simple solution. No roulettes. Unless the goal is to reach a certain level, not a certain point in the game quickly, there is no need for the roulettes.

As for the level cap, I know on Steam you have a key for ARR/HW and a key for Stormblood. I don't know if you can go beyond 60 if you don't have Stormblood. If you can't that that gives a level cap for at least the HW runs.
