For over a month i had a lot of problems with my game, also back in the days (approximatively 2 years ago) when i was running the game, i also had FPS issues.

This motivated me to finally post a tutorial that sums up about everything you need to know about steam RE4 and how to properly run the game.

I think it's a really important thing, especially when running a game, to have a smooth experience.

Any feedback related to that video is appreciated so i could potentially improve it, add more points etc.

Here's a way of recreating a Turbo mashing technique legit: https://pastebin.com/SLcr7m8z to illustrate that, we use this video … it took several hours to come up with this, i recommend Xbox one pad, possibly xbox one elite for even crazier configuration.

The config i just posted is a personalized one but we do get the idea on how to perform this technique, want to see it correctly executed ? Watch at 5:57.

This video was originally designed to help pad users compete with the effectiveness of a mechanical keyboard. This thread is an add up to Mike's original post which i found pretty interesting.

I've noticed people are getting interested by those two news version of RE4 and we can presume the last ones. RE4 is probably the game that has the most releases in the speedrun history, maybe not.

There is a news with some clarifications about that version: http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2016/08/02/resident-evil-4-ps4-xbox-one-will-run-at-1080p-with-an-increased-frame-rate/

It's said it will run at 1080p with increase framerate (60 fps). So it's 100% sure that the new versions of RE4 will be like 60 Fps version with mine skip, awesome!

Concerning the loading times, we don't know but we can assume X1 is probably faster than PS4. Also, it's possible to use SSDs and get faster loadings.

Concerning the use of SSD we could discuss about it. Imo they shouldn't be used on console as it's already P2Win on PC. We can just have the basic hardrive disk that is what you get when you purchase one of this console.

Also, leaderboard should appear more clear, i don't know but those consoles should have better protection against cheat codes? We'll see. It doesn't matter that much.

Concerning the version itself, it's literally impossible to be faster than PC but it's definitely faster than any other versions. Besides, we can assume these versions will be more stable and won't crash like PC versions.

So in theory X1 and PS4 will probably be the best versions to play if the game keeps a steady 60 Fps with no crash. I hope it's gonna be the case!

Get ready for the final versions of RE4, let's end this! Get the fun ready!
