It's goofy, funny, short and interesting to look at. Jazzpunk is known as a fun Indie casual puzzle game but has been proven to be a cool speedgame. The main features of the run are cutscene skips, wrong warp and crazy pathing optimation with very little RNG throughout the run. I've done live commentary in other highlights on my Twitch channel & been running this at various online marathons before. It is the game I am most comfortable with.
Availability: Currently any time (CET here) but I'm in between jobs right now so Friday Night or all of Saturday should be the safest.
Okay, so I am asking for advice because I discussed this with Tewi earlier in his stream and we both dont have an answer to this:
- Is there anything that influences dash boosts on tilted surfaces other than the timing?
I mean, yeah, the angle does seem to have an impact, but not consistently. I usually aim straight down on most of my surfaces but dont always get the same boost. Timing, of course, is crucial, but for me, more than for other runners, it seems to be a bit... off sometimes.
One thing that I experience a lot more than other runners is: I'm actually dashing THROUGH the platform Im standing on instead of getting boosted upwards. Most significant is that during the first boost in NG+ and during the new route right after picking up the dash powerup in NG. Those two platforms are identical in thickness and both times I manage to clip through the platform and it gets really annyoing.
Now, I play this game on relatively high FPS. I play on low res, low details and I thought that FPS might influence the way these boosts work, especially because I have gotten way less clips on high settings and lower FPS but then I also gotten way less boosts. I am not sure if this is just subjective so I'm asking if anyone else has experienced issues with getting consistent tilt boosts on flat, tilted platforms (curve boosts are usually fine for me).
