There have been a lot of cases of the same mistakes happening when submitting runs. If all runs are submitted properly, the verification process will go a lot faster.

If you are submitting an IL, please do not enter anything in the RTA box.

When entering your centiseconds, please make sure the time ends in a "0" because Speedrun.com has you submit them as milliseconds. For instance, if your In Game Time is "01:12:52" please submit your time as 1m 12s 520ms instead of 1m 12s 052ms. Entering 1m 12s 52ms will autopopulate the time incorrectly so please add the 0.

If your run is longer than the In Game Time threshold, or you are submitting to an RTA category, please refrain from entering anything in the millisecond box so it remains 000ms. If your run is longer than the In Game Time threshold, or you are submitting to an RTA category, please do not submit the In Game Time, as it will be removed to prevent your run being ranked improperly.

Submitting with no mistakes will help ensure your run gets verified faster.

you can't jump off too early so try to delay the jump as long as you can

and just hold the direction you're going in

go to resource > gd_PC > ADX

just rename adx to something else and the music won't play

For which story? For sonic's story, you should learn Linear Route for a first time run. TAS Route is faster but not by much at all and the movement is very hard to optimize so it would end up being slower for a beginner. Glitched Route is slower by around 30 seconds so don't learn that one. If you're talking about a different story somebody else can help you out.
