All i know about the setup is that you hit c down+left while mario is affected by the lag entering the sub area, and you get the angle

I found this glitchy camera angle in DDD that happens when you enter the laggy part of the level. once in the angle, you cant get out and can see through some walls. It removes all lag as well. Wanted to share it if it was anything new!

there are a lot of good tutorials on youtube, using the keywords "consistent blj tutorial" or "beginner 16 star tutorial" will give you some pretty good learning tools, especially from time travel penguin and tristian.

How would the hop abuse allow you to skip parts of the track? Its an intriguing Idea and I hope it works out, I wish i could test it but I dont have a wii in my posession.

I would love to set up a tournament, I just dont feel like I am qualified tho. I have only been speedrunning for a couple of months now, but If u think its a good Idea I will help out.

The in game timer pauses when the game is in a loading screen. That way, if your pc or console is laggy or not up to par hardware wise, the loading time does not affect your overall time. You will have to pause your timer when the game is loading, or get an auto splitter. Hope this helps! If u have any more qs let me know, I am going to get into Hat speedrunning very soon myself.
