Hey guys, I wanted to announce that effective immediately, I will step down as mod from Plague Inc. I appreciate all the time that you guys have spent submitting runs, and I appreciate the previous accountability in the past, but I just can’t do this anymore. My life has been super crowded with personal issues, and I’ve been much more interested in stuff other than Plague Inc, especially due to my dwindling interest in Plague Inc. I may come back to submit some runs, but until then, I wish y’all the best.

Yes, it does still start after clicking the bubble, it’s a bit advantageous compared to Evolved but Evolved has 3x speed anyways, and both games are separate so who cares lol

The time between diseases does count towards the runtime, and for the app switcher, it’s 100% ok to use

@CyanFrog FYI for the Finish Battle category, they have to drop trophies, which is kinda whatever for me, but for old offers yeah I do agree that runs with the old offers kinda gain an unfair advantage

Yeah, especially with the coronavirus stuff lmao, Plague Inc. in general has gotten a boost in popularity, in fact some of my old runs have gotten thousands of views recently :v

Hey guys! Should've probably made this change earlier, but now the timing starts at when the start bubble is pressed, not when you tap start on the gene screen. This is to be in line with Plague Inc: Evolved.

This is just in case there are people who want to run some categories that people have wanted to do, just haven't had the bravery (idk what word to use) to do so and post a forum thread, or haven't heard of the speedrun.com page for this game

Yes, it’s allowed, since I don’t think there’s units in BCTW that would give too much of an advantage for that version to not be allowed. (Also the same ruling will go for BCJP as well)

As you may have seen, I have been added to Plague Inc. as a super mod. I have reverted the leaderboards back to what they were, as well as verified as current runs in the queue, and @Xerokaan you did submit a duplicate run of your Virus Casual 3:04, so I rejected it, feel free to delete it. I will remove NehkRohw, and I might add someone else as a verifier. Other than that, apologies for the inconvenience, and continue to re-submit your runs! :)

@Uniwersal no, it was just NehkRohw who was mod, the regular mod for the page got demoted over a month ago.

For Plague Inc., the super mod hasn't verified two runs from @RingoTheFly for over 3 weeks, while still verifying other people's runs. Although this doesn't mean he's inactive, all forms of contact he has on his profile don't exist anymore, and he didn't respond to questions that people had asked in forum threads. As well, he completely changed the leaderboards without anyone's consensus, as well as deleting everyone's runs, instead of just moving them to the new categories on the leaderboard, which forces everyone to resubmit their runs, which, granted, isn't the biggest deal. Also, when asked about his almost inactive state (he went offline for almost 3 weeks pretty recently, then a few days before 21 days he went online) on the forums, he didn't respond, and he ended up deleting all forum posts except for two locked forum posts he made about the rules (which should just be included in the rules for the category but whatever). Although, the fact he changed the leaderboard without consensus, removed everyone's runs instead of moving them to the categories, has no contact methods, ignored someone's runs, and didn't respond to any questions that people had regarding his almost inactive state, is all why I'm posting something here. Currently, I have resubmitted a few of my older runs, and I plan to resubmit all of my runs, and @RingoTheFly has submitted his runs again.
