As of 23 March 2025, the official game site http://nekogames.jp/g2.html?gid=CUSOR10_2 uses Ruffle to run the game. It was discovered by player Mavi_adam that objects that should be unloaded by changing floors can be referenced with the object selection when the Tab key is used (see linked video). What this means is that there is an easy way to bypass all gameplay and beat the game extremely quickly and effortlessly.
After clicking START, a player can Tab to the Level 1 Stairs Up object and then hold Enter or Space (or both simultaneously) to rapidly ascend floors. Then, the player can win by clicking the Floor 16 Final Pyramid, for which they can position the mouse prior to starting the game. Optimally, this can be completed before the stage objects normally become visible, and the total time takes less than 4 seconds to click Tab twice, hold a button or two, and click the mouse without moving it.
This situation will be treated like the "Floor 0" exploit (see https://www.speedrun.com/cursor_10_2nd/forums/kbnr4), and runs that use Ruffle AND the keyboard will be omitted from Any% leaderboards in order to keep the game competitive. Congratulations to Mavi_adam for finding this new exploit!

If you have levels that you want added, we should discuss there. The reasons we may or may not enable certain levels apply to many of the games of the series.

In an effort to improve competition standards, IL categories across the Hoshi Saga series will be revised to admit levels that are good for competition - in essence, requiring reasonable effort to complete. Existing IL categories that do not make sense as such will be removed.
Through my own research, I have found the following Hoshi Saga stages as good candidates for IL categories:
- HS1: 3, 14, 20, 29, 30, 34
- HS2: 45, 47, 52, 57, 61, 63, 65, 69, 70
- HS3: 71, 73, 77, 78, 79, 82, 85, 88, 92, 94
- HS4 (Ringo): 1, 5, 11, 12, 16, 21, 23, 24, 25
- HS5 (Ringoame): 28, 30, 38, 41, 44, 45, 50
- HS6 (Ringoen): 51, 54, 61, 70, 72, 74
- HS7 (Ringohime): 76, 77, 81, 83, 86, 95, 99
- HS8 (Dokuringo): 9980, 9995, 10000(Easy), 10000(Hard)
- HS9 (Minnano 1): 12, 18, 23, 26, 29, 32, 33, 34, 40, 42
- HS10 (Minnano 2): 7, 12, 14, 23, 26, 28, 31, 33, 40
- HS11 (Reishiki): None
- HS12 (Minnano 3): 2, 4, 8, 11, 14, 15, 18
- HS14 (Monochromatic): 21
These are to be added as the initial set in early June 2021.
This thread exists so that anyone can suggest other reasonable stages to add to the IL charts. However, if it is clear that the stage doesn't make sense for the IL charts, it will be explained, and the stage will not be added.
If you would like a leaderboard for a specific level, please request it here. Levels that have consistent timing or are not sufficiently difficult will be denied.
If you would like a leaderboard for a specific level, please request it here. Levels that have consistent timing or are not sufficiently skill-dependent will be denied.
(Edit: replaced "difficult" with "skill-dependent" to add clarity for purely luck-dependent stages)

Hi, the first three Hoshi Saga games use the START GAME click to the Credits click for the total time. Can we do the same for the Ringo series as well? Thanks

This has not been submitted to this site. However, it is a relevant run, and as such, it is being noted here in order to keep speedruns/RTA for this game together in one place.
(Note: The additional content outside of the game window, and the audio related to it -- the narrator -- are acceptable. Placing unrelated video clips on the game window should be avoided when submitting to speedrun.com.)
I had previously verified two runs on Web:
- Any%: 14.900s
- 100%: 31.750s
As these runs were removed by the runner, they shall remain off of the leaderboard. However, I have the original videos and can confirm these times were obtained. The 100% run is indeed done within a single life.
This category involves a frame-perfect click at the beginning of the game, which means all runs are constant time. It is not difficult to achieve this within about 20 attempts (no more than 5 minutes), so the category is being removed.
Here is the original footage of jokerking76/ryangames9000 performing the exploit:
