I would like to proofcall Casj1357's current Any% world record of 1:02:03. I believe the run was not done on Gamecube, rather on either an overclocked/modded console, or on emulator.

I have done a load time comparison between 4 different version of the game. The comparison is for the 1st set of loads, from the selection of "New Game" to the first frame the game loads in. The comparison removes cutscene skips to eliminate human error.

I ask that Casj1357 prove that their console is not modified from the original manufacturing state, and show consistent load times as compared to the current world record.

Comparison times: Casj1357's WR: 232 frames Red Wii, using Nintendont, game loaded from SSD (read: overclocked): 272 frames Red Wii (Theoretical fastest version): 323 frames Gamecube (my past PB of 1:07:14): 339 frames

Based on this, Casj1357's run would save 3 seconds in the first load over the fastest theoretical legitimate version.

This should be a real category. Time ends at the end of the 2nd make-up tutorial when you draw a dick on Cloe's face.

Hi, I believe the timing on NerdyNester's 3:25.730 PB to be incorrect. I have retimed both Nester's and my run using Sony Vegas and they start and end on the exact frame. I will certainly concede that Nester achieved the time well before I did, but I do believe it to be 3:25.744, if timed at the proper SNES framerate of 60.0988 Hz. Will a moderator of the leaderboard please look into this, I can provide a comparison video if needed. Thank you.

The boards for Star Fox 64's miscellaneous categories have been moved! This was a change made on June 17, 2017, with the agreement of the entire moderation team, save MHFsilver, who is not currently an active mod for the game, and had support from the rest of the community. The main reason for the change was that Star Fox 64 does not really have any "good" miscellaneous categories, and the categories that we do have don't have enough variance to justify a board on this website (especially Kill Slippy, which had more tied times than unique times).

This forum post is for grievances and suggestions. If anyone has any major reasons for why the boards should be on here, post with the reason why they should be moved back. If you have any suggestions for categories that should be added to the miscellaneous boards, feel free to suggest them with a ruleset here. Generally in the past, we've added categories to the boards if they have support from the community and runners, so if both of those things are in place it shouldn't be an issue adding runs.

The new boards can be located here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FCYLYS9VFaauoks_ZkJtPhJOzrxBnDtW2RehmXWCP9k/edit?usp=sharing

Runs can be submitted through PM to me at any time on either twitter, twitch (whisper or PM), or through the discord server, which is located in the Resources section of the game's page. All runners will be PM'd informing them their runs have been moved to the new miscellaneous category leaderboards. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.

I just did a first run on Super Gameboy 1 for the SNES and I didn't honestly know if it was allowed or not. Can someone let me know if it is?

Hey guys,

So a friend of mine just informed me that Project 64 version 2.3 just came out and said that it "plays at an identical speed to version 1.7", which IIRC is what we allow for runs of this game. He's a credible source whose name I can give in a PM if you'd like (his privacy and such), and he has worked on this version "for years".

I was just wondering if it'd be okay to do runs on this version. He says there's no adware in the program, so it's safe to run. Let me know what you guys think.

Cheers, Lylat

Hey all, New to running this game, only ever completed one NLE run, and I've heard people talking about using a Wiimote to N64 controller adapter. I'd like to use this to do runs on the Wii U VC, but I've had some issues with controller adapters in the past and I'd like to know if there's a specific one people would recommend. If there's any tips people can give for if one of them sucks, or any direction someone can point me in to find one, that'd be awesome!

Thanks, all!

Hey guys,

I don't run this game at all (well, I've dabbled in Cheato% a tad, but that's it), but I was doing a casual playthrough and found this glitch. Basically from what I understand it's backpack storage, where one animation of Banjo letting something out of his backpack is over-ridden by another animation. I don't know if this has been discovered before, and I don't know if it would have any application in an RTA run (I know you guys don't use the Floaters in CCL), but I figured I'd say something just in case. Cheers!

I have a couple suggestions for miscellaneous categories for this game. They're mostly just memes, but they're things that I've done that I've found fun, so maybe other people would as well.

#1) Trifecta% Rules: -Must Complete Any%, Blue Line, Red Line runs. -Any% must be done last (the cutscenes for the different Venom endings are different lengths, so this would normalize that). -Blue line and Red line can be done in either order. -Timing starts on first frame of Corneria stage, ends when you lose control after killing Andross in Any%. -The game must be reset when "Mission Accomplished" fully appears on screen (dun-dun-dun-DUN, reset on the 4th dun). -Emulators, turbo controllers, and Gameshark cheats are banned.

~Works well as a practice category, or if you're sick of resetting.

#2) Yellow Line Rules: -Must complete all 3 Yellow Line stages (Katina, Solar, Macbeth) from the start of the game -Timing starts on the first frame of Corneria stage, ends after killing the boss of Macbeth (either by shooting the switch or killing the boss. If you kill the boss, it's the frame the "Hit +X" appears, if using the switch, when you lose control) -Emulators, turbo controllers, and Gameshark cheats are banned.

~For playing/optimizing stages that wouldn't otherwise be played in any run other than 100%.

#3) Booty% Rules: -Starting on Venom (Blue), you must crash into Golemech's butt. -Timing starts when you get control on Venom (Blue) and ends on the first frame after hitting Golemech's butt. -Emulators, turbo controllers, and Gameshark cheats are banned.

~100% Meme. Basically you'd do this if your run is dead and you're bored. I don't even know if you can hit his butt, I've never actually tried. But it'd be kinda funny. If you can't, it can be changed to "shoot out his butt".

Let me know what you think. They're all pretty special. I probably just look like a tool, but I think they'd be fun to have. If you have any questions or need clarification, let me know.
