You're absolutely right there, Joe. And I would have loved to have gone through the submissions but I have no idea how to set up email notifications when runs are submitted nor did I think anyone would really submit runs to a game that has existed for over a decade that I had to submit to the site to even have it listed. I dropped the ball, and I admit that.

Also, don't give me that crap about "bad language" and "discrediting" the community. The only thing that discredits the community is dilation stations and banned twitch chat emojis at GDQ. We're human-beings, we're adults. A bit of salty language, especially expressive salty language is the least of our problems.

I would humbly ask you to at least make me a mod here. The page wouldn't have existed without me and I do apologize for being rude to you, truth be told, I was pissed off at the administrator who contacted me over twitch about this and you got caught in the crossfire.

I'll tell you what I told that admin. If you disagreed with the decision to reject your run for the reason specified and if the other guy who submitted a run on the 100% both thought the rules I made when I created this page were unfair or unrealistic and we talked about it, that would have been the end of the story. Instead some furfag admin on twitch removed my moderation on the page I made here because I was mistaken in thinking the rules were changed and because he thought my rules were "dumb"

Please let me moderate the page that I got added to the site and I hope we can put this incident behind us to grow the community here.

edit

Why do you think this page exists? The only games I have permanently installed on my PC are WH40k games. I saw this game wasn't on the list and I submitted the run to get it on the catalogue because this is my favourite installment. It had nothing to do with hollow victories and I would have rejected your run if it was 10 hours long, I don't care about having a world record in anything. To quote RWhiteGoose. "Who cares about having a world record in something that barely anyone else on earth does or cares about"

"The timer starts when you hit accept" "The timer" "Timer"

You didn't start "the timer" when you started your run. I added the caveat that all runs need to be submitted with a timer on screen to prevent people from submitting runs with cut content without an accurate timer.

The fact that you're too fucking stupid to work out what "The timer starts at X" and "ends at Y" is exactly why I added the clarification to the rules. The run I submitted had a timer. The run you submitted had self-admitted cut content without a timer.

Enjoy your empty achievement.

If you can find a glitch I'll ban it. I don't like doing glitchy runs, I like runs based on skill

thread: Speedrunning

Do what I did. Find a game that hasn't been registered on the site, record a speed run, "Submit a new game" and get the world record in a game no one else plays. ;) great for self esteem.

neongreenfruit and Nodlih like this

In the rules for runs with emulators it says they can't be held as legitimate because emulators all run the game faster than any console could run it, right? Is there a way to slow the emulator down to exactly N64 speeds in the settings? What is the difference in speed and how can that bridge be normalized through the emulator settings? I don't care if my record still gets hidden, I just want to be able to share my runs with pride and have people know I did everything I could to make my runs fairly.
