Here is what I don't understand:

Why is the main category called "New Game Standard" or "New Game Hardcore"?

If you look at past Resident Evil games such as the first Resident Evil (1996) The main Speedrun is any% but there is a "No Major Glitches" and "Major Glitches" Categories.

Resident Evil 3 the main Speedrun doesn't utilize any glitches and it is considered any%

There is even an any% in the 1998 Resident Evil 2 and it doesn't utilize any glitches.

Ultimately couldn't RE2 Remake utilize any% No major glitches and any% major glitches? cause in reality you are being the game as fast as possible.

With all that being said maybe there is something that I don't fully know about the RE2 runs? This is just a question I have had since the Speedrun became active. If anyone could clear it up, that would be cool.

I just recently got my PC and found out that the downloads to all the games were removed from the Discord. I was told that I needed to contact a mod in order to get a download. So if anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it.

I managed to join the discord. It's just kind of hard to get specific answers. It's kind of taking a while.

I'm getting a PC very soon and I was wondering where I can get the first 3 Resident Evil games. I want the Japanese versions so I can run them. If anyone can help point me in right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.
