I'll use Castlevania: Lament of Innocence as an example of dying not being allowed. in LoI your time is tracked using in-game time. The time not only stops, but resets back to the last save when you die. So you can theoretically do a segmented run in real time, simply by doing sections over and over till you have the best in-game time. Which sounds stupid (cause it is) but that's why LoI restricts deaths.
Requiring a timer on screen to submit a run is stupid lol.
part of being a mod is deleting a run comment if they see it as inappropriate. Not saying your comment was, but maybe the mod thought it was. shrug
The misunderstanding is that "flash game" is synonymous with "bad game" in this case, as they often are.
But I think a more important thing to understand is that you do not need SRC to speedrun a game. You don't need a leaderboard. You can speedrun a game with, or without.
The last thing we need is more reasons for people not to click on your profile.
