Someone decided to reply to a spam thread. Clean-up on aisle 1.
@ Marrow - Still looks like you're mod for the series to me.
@Gavinscousin - Have you tried contacting them on their social media links? This is a last resort thread, and you are expected to have tried to contact the mods. Mopsi was on 1 hour ago, their last stream was 18 hours ago, and their last youtube video 22 hours ago. They even have a discord account connected, which would be an excellent way to contact Mopsi. Noir on the other hand, although they have been off the site for 15 days are active on twitter, has uploaded a youtube video, and was last live on Twitch until one hour after you posted this.
A request for NintendoBlackCrisis - http://www.speedrun.com/user/NintendoBlackCrisis - To be removed as super mod from the Lego series, and any Lego games they are mod for. They have been offline for 3 months, and has had multiple extended leaves from the site beforehand.
@Pip - If you've been able to contact the moderator, then you can ask them to add you as a mod.
In case they don't know how, they go to Edit Game, down to Moderators, then New Moderator, then they can add you.
No, once the timer starts it doesn't stop until the end.
Recording with a camera should be fine as long as it doesn't stutter about too much. Some cheaper cameras can do that and can make it awkward to validate runs. Make sure the camera's facing the screen as much as possible, not tilted left, right, up or down as much as possible.
Why? The mods of the game can set the release date, which Sgitch has probably set to the official launch date, rather than the Beta release date.
Is there much you can find out about Lego Batman (Console, not Handheld) and the potential for wall clipping?
Personally I feel the categories are a little strange at the moment. I think the game should either be Level Leader boards for each level pack, or have an Any% Sub-Category for each level pack, rather than the seemingly strange categories we currently have here.
I guess discussion could be opened about it now to see if everyone agrees on something, since there's been no activity other than Star Fox's original Simpsons Pack run, and your submitted run today.
How different are PS and PC versions of the game? I was looking at both on YouTube and PS seems to have 9 Pizzas, whilst the PC version seems to have 11 of them.
^Any and all of the TT Lego Games are at least 1 hour long. Some have bigger communities than others, some have more skips than others.
Long story short - The TAS sends so many inputs per frame that it essentially overwrites the code with its own code in one form or another. You'd actually be better of asking over on TASVideos.org rather than the game mods.
There's a page over there explaining how to do it and may give you a little insight as to how they go about it. http://tasvideos.org/ArbitraryCodeExecutionHowTo.html
So, just a thought, who thinks this could be DoctorWoot?
TL;DR - This person thinks when speedrunners say "casual" we mean anything other than speedrunning, rather than "casual" meaning a general playthrough that a normal person would do on their first playthrough.
