United StatesDue to a recent influx of cheating we have decided to add some new rules to help on our end for detecting splices
We are requiring the next few things:
** Your API must not be hidden: ** This allowed us to discover a cheater recently so this is a given
** VoD must have the countdown: ** This is mainly so we can see your name at the start and your emblem to ensure they match
** Reward Screen and Mission Summary Must Show All Stats: ** When swapping screens to the mission report there's 10 frames of nothing happening that can be easily spliced we want this to ensure that nobody does this. This also allows us to make sure the emblems match from launch screen all the way to the end game screen
** In Comments You Must Provide the API Run ** You can use any site you like so long as it shows the same amount of stats that DestinyTracker shows
There was popular demand to allow the ball exploit into speedruns, I made a separate category for it until we have confirmation from Bungie on if it will be patched or not, if the exploit is not patched by the next season the two categories will be merged into a single category. I didn't want to call it any% and glitchless because glitches will still be allowed in the normal run just not the "Ball Exploit." As such the name of the category is the current patch name, if anyone has a suggestion on better names for the sub categories please post them here or in the Discord. We will not be archiving the "Ball Exploit" runs if it gets patched the runs will be deleted from the site to maintain a competitive leaderboard. Thanks again
There is currently a glitch to start damage phase on the final boss by picking up one of the orbs and punching him with it. We will be treating this as a bug that will be patched for now and if a few months pass with no patch from Bungie it will be considered a feature. Until then though no runs will be verified that contain this method to start damage phase. Thank you
This page was originally created to allow for titan skating because it is a fun mechanic that makes speedrunning the game really enjoyable. However due to it's nature of being frame based we capped it at 60 FPS which must be shown in all runs with skating. With it being frame based though it was clearly a bug and Bungie has taken note of it now. About 2 weeks ago in Bungie's TWAB they made a statement saying they were looking into fixing the Titan skating bug. We do not know if that means they are going to remove it entirely or if they are going to make it more accessible to all players. So as of right now we will not be accepting any runs with Titan Skating. You may still submit the runs they just will not be verified until we have more information. I would go ahead and prepare for the worst though and assume all runs with Skating on the current board and that are submitted will end up being rejected when the time comes.

Not at the moment, our general philosophy has been run it and we will consider making it a category. Problem I see with that category is namely the variations, do we include the revamped strikes as unique since they has "newer" mechanics, or just allow for the old ones to take their place. You could also in the playlist for modifiers and hope to get lucky. If we do create it after it's ran it would also just be another misc category along with the DLC all mission runs, so keep that in mind as well. If you'd like to have a discussion about how to sort my above concerns I recommend joining the discord, the link is in the Discord topic in the forums.

Also can you add a co-op option as well? I'm sure it's barely any time save but has minor potential to be and I know a friend of mine would love to run it with me

Okay, so I've had my disagreements with Zecora before, on the first major drama we had.
Anyways, I'm certain this guy is only complaining cause his run got moved to 10th place instead of first place, but the separate categories were made by the old mods, and they didn't make sense because we don't run anything else with class specific rules.
Basically I want this community to be inviting to everyone so I don't want to tell this guy "Deal with it" but what he's suggesting isn't viable unless we go back to the old leaderboards which were ugly and way too much. The issue I'm having is what's a good compromise that'll leave both parties at least slightly happy, the majority of the community wants it kept the same as shown by Zecora's poll. Shadow is just being rude and not stopping when we have clearly stated we're not changing it back, because the new system is better.
Again the site doesn't allow me to add tabs for specifically IL's I can add them for only Full Game runs. Again I would love to do that I think it would look much nicer, but I CAN'T.
You can't make tabs like that for IL, the site literally doesn't let you, if we could we would.
The site is cleaner, and I'm actually starting to get confused as to why you actaully want the Crota runs changed back??? It's universally agreed between everyone in the community except you that the site looks better. Are you just angry that your "first place" run is now 10th?
The poll for switching it back is currently 10 to keep and 0 to switch back. Which means you haven't even voted and we're going to close the poll soon. When it ends this topic will be over, so go vote on it, but as far as I'm concerned it's done. Stop being rude about this, the site looks cleaner and more inviting now.
Shadow, we changed the leaderboards for Crota's end because it doesn't make sense for the page to have a category for each class, just run the fastest class if you want a better time. Vote on the strawpoll Zecora made and the results will be tallied.
tl;dr ~ He thinks the new layout is shit, along with a few of his friends that wanted to run this "dogshit" game. We also should've put it to a vote in the Destiny forums which I doubt he's ever looked at until now. We should also respect what he says because it is his opinion regardless of how he is currently treating us in the community.

I'm not going to write a paragraph in the forums sorry man. We fixed the runners page issue it looks okay now, thank you for pointing it out so we could do something about it.
While we're here, there's a new game run someone did a long time ago that isn't on the leaderboard if we could find that, that'd be great. Anyways I sent you a message on Discord Zecora.
