What is Themeathon?

Themeathon is a charity marathon that raises money for the Save the Children charity. Every marathon will feature a different theme, for example: the 80's. The main event this year will take place between the 1st to the 5th of August over on our Twitch channel (https://www.twitch.tv/themeathon). This year's theme is: 80s. Do keep in mind that the theme does not restrict the games you can submit! During the main marathons we will be using Speedrun.com 's donation tracker with Save the Children's PayPal so all the money donated during the event will go directly to charity, not to us. We do however hold a yearly fundraising stream with the purpose of raising funds for equipment, costumes and such for the main event. The marathon will be taking place online for now, but in the future we might consider to host an on the spot event as well. The Themeathon staff will not earn anything from this nor do we want to.

How can I submit runs?

It is actually really simple to submit a run. You just need to do the following:

1. Provide us with a video of a run with marathon commentary
2. Post when you could run your game in the comments.
3. Fill out the form linked below.
4. Provide the time you are available from the 1st to 5th of August in the comment section (IN UTC+2!!!).

Additional information:

• If you are submitting a race, ALL RUNNERS have to submit.
• If you submit multiple games or one game with multiple categories, you have to submit every game / category separately.

Submissions will close on the 11th of June at 23:59 UTC+2!
