You can request a game to be added here: https://www.speedrun.com/knowledgebase/supporthub/request-game-or-series

Make sure you read everything on the page before trying to get the game approved! You will be the mod of the game, so make sure you’re up for it

As far as tools go, many people use splits.io as a timer and a way to keep track of their runs. I personally use a timer that is in my editing software, though, and I usually retime my videos after I upload them to youtube. For recording, OBS is a good, free option for PC. When it comes to actually speedrunning games, I like to watch the videos of the top runs and search for any guides and resources that could help me be quicker in that particular game. I suggest playing smaller games, too, if you don’t want to dedicate hours to a single game.

I'm trying to grow a community for a short, free web game called P.E. Noire! You can find the game on itch.io (https://picogram.itch.io/pe-noire)

Here's my first run of the game if you're interested in giving it a shot! The board for the game is brand new, so if you would like new categories or other changes, let me know!

On iOS, you could play games like Dune!, Piano Tiles, the mobile version of There is No Game, or AdVenture Capitalist, for example. There aren’t many Dune! speedruns, but the game is fairly simple, so it’d be pretty easy to place highly. Piano Tiles, on the other hand, has toooons of runs that are hard to beat, but the game is simple. I don’t have a chromebook, but you could browse coolmathgames, itch.io, or similar websites for shorter games to try out.

What exactly do moderators want to see in the Additional Notes area of a game request? It says "proposed categories, rules, your plans for the board, etc," but should you also include a short description of the game, or anything else relating to it? Should you elaborate on almost everything, or keep the notes short and sweet?

I’m fairly new here and don’t know exactly how this works, but I think I was put in the wrong category for 100 Lemons- I didn’t use any boosts but am in that category. Sorry if this is just me not knowing!
