I'm trying to speedrun the game with livesplit's auto splitter, but it's tending to split a lot of times in quick succession for no apparent reason. Does anybody have any explanation as to why this could be happening?

Seeing as how Seal the Deal is on the Switch version of the game, the version I and probably some other person/people play, I am/we're a little... stuck, when it comes to the rules when speedrunning Death Wish. The current ruleset, stating that it must use the file from resources, pretty much voids all Switch and/or all console runs. I'm pretty much suggesting a new subcategory, in which you have to have completed all 18 candle objectives (and reset all Death Wishes) before starting the run. I say 18 instead of 21 because Zero Jumps can actually be reset, unlike the other candles. In the case of Nyakuza Metro, you will have to obtain 73 objectives instead of 70, and explicitly state in your run wether or not it's installed. Dunno, it's an idea, add it if you want.

So, I just looked through the game's settings, and you CAN change them so it's reverted to the original game's mechanics. But the changes mostly affect Adventure Mode, as getting characters is done differently. There are two choices for the Encounters setting: Deliberate and Random. Random is the closest to the original game as the encounters are, well, random! So is the character grabbing. In fact, in an Adventure Mode run, if you're trying to get a certain character, you actually lose time because you have to click through a couple dialogue boxes whether you're on Deliberate or Random. I'll do a few more tests, but I'm pretty sure Fixed Party Mode is mostly unaffected. Edit: Please note that I do not intend to submit any runs using this version of the game until I am completely aware that it is allowed (even though it most likely isn't)

The current, official version of FNaF World is far too buggy for my computer to run at a smooth pace. FNaF World: Redacted, a recreation of FNaF World on GameJolt, allows me to run it at 60 FPS (I think it's 60, will have to check on that), but it also changes some aspects of the game. I assume this fan-made version isn't allowed to be used, but if it is, someone correct me.

The Undertale Batch Launcher (found in resources) has an option to loop start the game. Is this allowed?

Do I have to record my entire screen when doing an EMU run, or can I just record the EMU window?

Does changing the music in the game files (for example, some music files replaced with deltarune music, as I have my game) count as a music 'mod?'

All you have to is Never. Let. Susie. Attack. You can do this by warning the enemy through the ACT menu, and using Ralsei, you can warn all the enemies. The only thing you have to attack is the king. Do not attack anything else. (Except C. Round and the first encounter with K. Round, as they don't understand warnings) (If you want to waste time getting an OP weapon for Susie, you can also fight upon Jevil) Oh, and turn on Auto Run. Please.

There is an item that you can get when you first fall into the Dark World (that appears randomly, I think) that allows you to skip text at blazing fast speeds. Is it not allowed to use this item? Btw, it's called the Wrist Protector.

you could also do what I do with speedruns not on a mobile device and have a pc running livesplit and show the time during loading screens or at the end of the run. if speedrunning a game on a mobile device, three things are required: the game, mobizen (the best and cheapest screen recorder i've found on mobile) and an app called Floating Speedrun Timer on the Google Play Store. idk if it's on the App Store, but it might be.
