Yes, without it, there could be splicing in the runs, as sound is a key giveaway when splicing is used. And I'm pretty sure there is a way to make it only record the game sound.

Ah, it seems I wasn't the one who got the game accepted. Welp, I guess this is the place to apply for mod? I have some ideas of what to do for the runs. IL should probably be the main category, since I've looked at the public's opinions and most of them are only running IL. Then the Categories could be Any% and No Skips. If any good glitches are found, Glitchless should be added. Thanks in advance. I hope to hearing the results.

Bandicam has a free version with a watermark. I used that until I learned about OBS oc.
