tthats actually been happening to me alot BW. ive been using my 1.3 JP disc on console and ive had to remove my memory card when booting a new game bc 90% of the time, it freezes at checking the mem card
the MKX leaderboards remove load times so I dont see why the INJ2 boards wouldn't do the same.
wow. im extremely behind the new route changes and everything. GGs!
Taken from the Game Jolt page:
Introduction: Heir of Granatyki is a King's Field fan game created by MasterTaffer using the Sword of Moonlight King's Field Making Tool, that takes place before the events of the first King's Field. Like all King's Field games, its gameplay centers around exploration, methodical combat, and light puzzle solving. The game is made up of only two maps, but these maps are massive in scope and highly detailed. Please offer any constructive feedback, and have fun!

In Settings: for King's Field controls, I only tested a PS1 & PS4 controller. Here was my Pad Configuration for each:
PS1 Button 1 - Magic Button 2 - Menu/Back Button 3 - Use Button 4 - Attack Button 5 - Look Up Button 6 - Look Down Button 7 - Strafe Left Button 8 - Strafe Right
PS4 Button 1 - Attack Button 2 - Use Button 3 - Menu/Back Button 4 - Magic Button 5 - Strafe Left Button 6 - Strafe Right Button 7 - Look Up Button 8 - Look Down
(These may be different for you; I'm not sure why it was different for each controller I used).
i could see why it looks bad but honestly the time differences are quite drastic. plus it gives people reason to play on different hardware and see where they stand tbh
Ive had Phantom Dust on my speedrun radar for some months now. I have alot of XBOX exclusives that ive been wanting to run. So far ive only ran RLH but i found this thread actually cause i was curious if anyone has run it yet haha
"don't believe the EMU category should include PSTV either way, as the EMU platform subcategory holds additional and substantial value in being one that anyone can compete in like-for-like without needing hardware. it should be separate from the dedicated emulator category, which is open to everyone with a PC."
so you will be separating emulator into its own category in 3J then? since you think emu holds substancial value in being accessible to anyone, unlike console.
also i assume there will be PSTV any% tests as thats the most popular category and the only category NOT hidden by default. youre testing PSTV on a race category thats 4mins long and hidden by default. It would make more sense to test it on Any% as that will yield the most honest results. its substancially longer than Termite and it spans most of the game. Allowing for better and much more accurate data collecting.
that is the most unwatchable speedrun....ever haha. pls ban. (on top of the other reasons. pay to win is lame.
Long overdue, but finally Otogi speedruns are being revived. Myself along with the newly appointed mod, Amei, will be working on the Otogi speedrun. We have found some great new strategies that deviate from the Dalfen run that we believe will create some great time save. Already we have begun streaming our casual playthroughs and soon the speedruns themselves. The game is very much alive and you can also join the Discord that was just created. It will be very active now with us 2 runners looking to take the speed game to new heights.

Is there a rule-of-thumb or some sort of strats to conider when doing the minigame? I know its not recommended for beginners but i cant find anything on it and when ive watched runs in the past, runners just blast through the minigame.
i personally wouldn't care for a Very Hard run tbh
this doesn't seem so bad. it'll be much more rng heavy which kind of sucks. its basically "hey i got better time because my tower was nicer" but i wouldn't mind it to be honest. Even banning Kotal doesn't seem like a bad idea. Id be down for both of these speedrun categories.
for the record, the furthest I've made it in the Tower with a perfect IGT was Opponent 7 :P on 3 different occasions.
oh you're right, i forgot about that. he does indeed and as well, takes an extra second for the additional uppercut. i got perfect Corrupted Shinnoks almost every run i finished. maybe 90% of the time. congrats on that wr btw!
I was beginning to run Evil Dead: Fistfull of Boomstick and the only runner for the game hasn't posted a run in a year. Ive also messaged him plenty and have tried to catch him on twitch (he hasn't streamed in a year). How does a run become reviewed if its only mod is inactive?
