Can you make there be an option to where games with more than 4 subcategories can show all of them instead of making them a dropdown? There are a few games I moderate that have this problem, since none of them are misc or anything. Also, one of the games I moderate doesn't have an arrow to scroll over to misc so it looks like the categories just do not exist. Other than that, I'm more on the neutral side.

Putting in as a bug report, but I'll post it here too.

I think this was just added in now, but all games show the default timing method on the mod hub. Problem is, RTA/real time with loads doesnt actually appear. Here's a comparison. Here's a game I moderate that uses loadless timing as the main timing method: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/351755179680464928/890819243157897216/unknown.png Here's a game I moderate that uses in-game time as the main timing method: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/351755179680464928/890819303094517770/unknown.png And then now, here's a game I moderate that uses RTA as the main timing method: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/351755179680464928/890819339987591168/unknown.png

It's uh, not actually RTA. It says it's real time without loads.

Hi, I know exactly where you guys got the name idea from, and I would like to apologize in advance because I was one of the reasons why that name change happened the way it did. It pained me to see another game go down this route.

Just wondering why you guys thought that was a good idea rather than just do (PS2/PSP), and could perhaps a name change happen if people agree on it?

edit: since it was changed i guess context should be provided, the old game title was Toy Story 3: The Video Game (Asobo). the thing i am talking about are the boards for the 2 console ratatouille games, which are on src as Ratatouille (Asobo) and Ratatouille (Heavy Iron)

Hi, out of the mod team, I'm the one who's tinkered the most out of the 4.

Solo is not really the strong suit for speedrunning this game, I agree with. Friendly fire is nonexistent even on expert, which just makes that an absolute chore to deal with. A molotov is the only way to properly kill them in the safe room, but even then getting yourself out alive and making sure they're all down is a nightmare.

The default difficulty is normal. We've experimented with using z_difficulty before and while it does work, again it's only just damage increased. We did use the base of L4D2's rules though for what's banned and what's not when it comes to console commands, if it, y'know, wasn't obvious. Votes do work though, which originally we didn't think that was the case. For co-op, since the loading is so long you're kicked and only the host progresses, which makes the map command better, but for solo we can use that if we did the Carnival strat. Funny thing about the difficulty stuff, in v1.26 (the version we played on), only Easy and Normal are available, along with only having Dead Center and Dark Carnival as the 2 campaigns to play. This is why the Offline Campaigns category exists. However, on a newer version that is dumped, v1.30, the menu is overhauled and everything is available; all campaigns, all difficulties, etc. I'm the only one who has messed around with that version, none of us have done anything run wise with it yet, but it eliminates one of our category ideas we had that would just be pre-v1.30 exclusive. There's nothing against votes though, it's not stated in the rules so anything could be fair game, but I think it should be allowed. Purism though, I am an advocate for, but for this game I don't think it entirely matters.

Getting sent to the main menu does not invalidate your run, you can simply map command back to where you were prior. This happened in the All Campaigns run 4 times, 3 due to deaths and 1 due to a crash. If I remember correctly, I think you can select individual maps in the campaign selector, so for real hardware arcade runs it wouldn't be tooooo much of an issue, but I cannot test right now due to a hard drive failure which had my game on it.

I entirely get your concerns. I apologize if this was a mess to read, but hopefully my point comes across. If you care, hit me up on discord (Hoon#5816) and I can discuss more if you would like. I'm also in the L4D server if you need easier access to simply DM rather than friend request. Have a nice day.

currently we only allow dolphin and ppsspp, rpcs3 and xenia are still very new emulators for new consoles and are experimental. it runs just fine on rpcs3 but the loads are instant and are absolutely not fair to console, so it's banned there. on xenia it crashes during the game engine so you cant even progress (note: may not be the case now, its been awhile)

we do allow modded consoles though, if you happen to have one, as for ps3 and x360 they load similar to their non modded counterparts (ps3 on disc, x360 installed to hdd as thats a vanilla feature)

check resources, download, copy player0_default.sav and put it in the folder Save (which is in the root of the game folder)

note there are saves for multiple categories on there, if you want a default one just go with the ng+ one made by joe. for runs start out with that one as well if you're planning on doing ng+
