I did a little research on this a couple of years ago and the tech geek Amiga gurus are stating that SCR isn't rendered faster on faster Amigas because of the timings of how the polygons are rendered. Both game speed and frame rate are therefor the same.
I myself have played SCR on different Amigas (I had a 1200 with Blizzard 1230 for years) and the game both looked and played the same as on a vanilla A500.
So I haven't found any reason for any Amiga model exclusion since it's basically the same as playing a 60 fps locked PC game on a faster PC.
There are cracked turbo versions out there that have higher framerate and are able taking advantage of faster clock speeds, so that's why the speedrun rules state that the version of the game is important so noone plays a high framerate version. That of course also goes for the recent C64 SuperCPU version (which btw is absolutely glorious).
I also agree with not allowing reversing before start line, it would just end up in a competition on who can reverse and then reach the highest speed before the first lap starts and it wouldn't add any entertainment value either.
When it comes to abusing holes, I might be alittle bit torn. But... it can add to the entertainment value of speedrunning and using glitches is more often a part of speedrunning than not. It's a part of the game physics and the driving rules of the SCR universe. If someone would actually be able to make use of slamming into the holes and get a better time without wrecking on the 1 or 2 tracks where it might even be possible, I don't mind it being allowed, so I guess I'm with Hoops on that.
@rxhfcy feel free to add the no reverse rule since we all agree on it.
Good driving on this difficult track and nice timing on the bridge.
I don't see this game as very speedrun friendly for full-game runs compared to individual track runs with the excellent in-game timer. Because of this, I have intentionally left out the full-game category leaderboard.
If you are interested in submitting a full-game run after all, please reach out to me and I'll be at your service so we can decide on rules and how the timer should be managed.
