Phew, didn't realize my post would be able to spark such a discussion. I wouldn't jump in to give too much opinion on the in-game clock and the specifics that come with it as I've only just opened the door.

I will say though that I would surely be glad to see categories for IL, or perhaps paired visions. Being someone out of practice and slim on free time, jumping into full-game runs is a bit intimidating at the moment.

@amoser I won't assume it'll stick. I know I can personally do better than what I have currently as well and it's only fun to see someone else who's better do.. well, better. :)

Been doing a few runs on Balue's tower while collecting all 150 gems. Is there a chance this could be added into a section in the level leaderboards?

The thing is that there are differences in both BFG and Doom 3 counterparts. They might not be gamechanging.. but in a speedrun world, I think they matter.

For example, bunny-hopping is different from Doom 3 and BFG, BFG offers a whooole lot more speed than what vanilla does. Adding to this, barrel jumping is non-existant in BFG as a whole, whereas early versions of Doom 3 it still exists.

Again, this doesn't mean they have to be separated into two different sites entirely, but PLEASE seperate them from eachother, they ARE different, and different strats will be used between the two.

Finally able to find a site of speedrunning that I actually like. I found the more segmented ones to be a bit... out of reach when it came to what I wanted to do with speedrunning.

So anyway, I'm glad to be a part of the speedrunning community and to be a member of this.

I notice that there aren't anything on Doom 3 on this site, though I assume that's because there isn't much focus on the segmented runs. If one were to submit a run for that game that was not segmented, how would one go about doing so?

Any help would... help ^.^; still trying to figure shit out.
