I added individual world ILs, and subcategorized the levels. Everything was reverified, but unfortunately 0-1 broke. Everyone who did an 0-1 IL will have to resubmit their times :((
There are a lot of new people wanting to speedrun akr2, many of which running for longer periods of time. I do think that creating a discord server would allow for easier communication, and would also be a good place to save the new strategies and runs. To my knowledge, the original discord was deleted, however, I think now that more people run the game, it would be benefitial to have one, even if there aren't many runners, esp since other, even smaller games have one.
There's this display on speedrun com which shows whether the run did/did not use cheats during the playthrough. The thing is, yesterday I figured out that getting a secret cheat in 1-6 would save significant time in the No Secret Exits category, and I could easily get WR with it. However, at this point, Julien's WR in that category is very and I mean VERY optimized to a point that taking it with a route that uses cheats is very cheap. If I were to get WR, I don't think I would even submit that as an official WR since it is 99.99% more likely that the run wouldn't be as optimized as the current WR. My question would be the following: couldn't we make seperate leaderboards for runs that uses cheats/don't use cheats? For certain categories, such as any% and all of its variants (any%, pacifist, anti-pacifist, and any% coinless), and also all switches, this wouldn't change anything since getting a cheat in the run would be slower anyway. However, for categories like No Secret Exits, KBS and 107%, I think a seperate leaderboards would be required due to the non-cheats WR being optimized as they are, idk what mods think about this but I think it would make getting records way more fair.
