Hold Left on the D-Pad before starting a new game, then do so. This will allow you to skip the starting messages.

Also it is very odd that your newest runs would get a copyright claim while your older, All Teams any% run (still watchable on the board), would be fine especially considering the run on the board is direct capture with no commentary.

If you stream you should really highlight the run on twitch so that it is always available in case something like this happens. Also when streaming you can local record to your computer so that you always have a copy of your run there as well. Doesn't twitch allow you to upload videos directly to thier site? I've never done it but it may be worth a try.

If you stream on YouTube then i can't help you there as i know nothing about it. You should be able to download your runs off of YouTube however if you don't have a copy on your computer.

Does the company claiming to own the copyright actually own said copyright? If so how much of the run do they state uses thier music? Asking mainly because I've had false copyright claims against myself on YouTube in the past.

Sorry i had to reject your runs but if they're unwatchable i can't verify them. Hope you can get this straightened out one way or another, be a shame to waste a couple of potentially good runs.

If the leaderboard was based solely on satisfying a win condition then I believe All Teams Any% would be the only category. R.B.I. Baseball officially ends after completing a full season, be it with wins or losses it doesn't matter. I enjoy having multiple categories as it gives runners many different options of how they want to play. Want to do a quick 5 minute run? Then choose win a game or lose a game. Want something longer and where you actually finish the game? Then do the All Teams categories. At one point early on I had considered adding "Watch a game," just because I think it would be a fun meme and you'd get to see who has the best random luck.

Rules have been added to both All Teams categories so have fun guys, I'm interested in seeing how low the time can go when you're trying to win every game.

Since it's the weekend and someone may submit an "All Teams" run before i can finalize the rules there is one new rule in particular that will be added to the All Teams categories. The final screen showing the win/loss ratio MUST be shown in any submission to either All Teams categories moving forward. Timing stays the same as all the other categories but i feel like the final win/loss ratio should be shown on any All Teams run. Let me know if anyone has any thoughts on this as i am always open to feedback.

Hold down on the dpad and jump to drop down to the section with the extra life in the hobo area. No damage boost necessary, just a weird little trick. I assume that's what you're referring to.

Yeah this needs some investigation. If you game over after a couple losses than your run can be considered a win% even with a loss. I do remember the game resetting if you lost too many but I have not played a full season in a long time. If it does in fact reset after enough losses than the All Teams category would be the perfect spot for your run and then a 9-0 category would be nice to add later as well.

Also feel free to submit your run at your leisure and I'll approve it. I know the start time didn't match the rules for the other categories so it may be a few seconds off but thats the only thing I noticed that was wrong. Besides that great job man I look forward to playing some more R.B.I myself in the future and challenging your time ;)

Sorry I didn't get back to you when I said I would but I've been slammed with work lately so thanks for your patience. I'm setting up a general "All Teams" category for now that will essentially stand as an any%. I like the idea of a Win% but I feel like for that to be true you need to win against all teams and end the season with 9-0. I have not had time to play a full season of the game myself recently but from what I read you can play against all the teams even if you lose every game. And losing against every team would obviously be faster than winning. If this isn't true or you have more information on it let me know. Also let me know if you have feedback on any of this, as the only other person to run the game I am interested on your thoughts.

A full season/series category was something that I was going to add at the beginning but I decided to wait until someone actually completed a run first. I'll set up a category this weekend when I have access to a computer, I'm on my phone atm.

The "infinite jump glitch" is a major discovery that skips 2/3rd's of the game and as such deserves to be its own category. "All medallions" is for those who wish to run the game in a somewhat normal progression and have the opportunity to play as a character other than Kung Lao. I don't understand how it is "50/50" terms, one category you beat the game as fast as possible using any means necessary, and the other category has the added caveat of having to open the medallion door which forces the runner to play all the levels.

All secrets is not possible outside of 2 player mode and there hasn't been a 2 player run yet. I'm not entirely sure what constitutes 100% but if it would require all the red koins then that would have the same problem as All secrets. Also, to do a true 100% run you would have to start on a new save file meaning you would not be able to skip any of the cutscenes and that would not be very fun. All bosses could be an interesting category but it would essentially just be All Medallions with some added backtracking. The infinite jump glitch could possibly be used to fight Ermac and Mileena early but the run itself would still be very similar.

I do somewhat agree that the hard difficulties may not need to be a thing but as this game only has 2 runners, and not a lot of traffic/interest, I see no reason to delete them right now.

Changed the old any% runs into all medallions with rules posted. Added all medallions to hard. Deleted "Alternatively, the player may show the in-game time on the save file after the credits" because the game does not save your IGT after completion.

Here's a completed run of the new any% route

The only issue I ran in to is that the game always froze at the loading screen before the Shao Kahn fight. So the only way I could get around it is to save and reload before the final battles which solves the freezing problem. Saving/Reloading loses a significant amount of RTA time but maybe only 10 seconds (if even) of IGT.

As for renaming the old any% runs the best title I came up with would be "All Medallions". The medallions are the items that give you extra abilities such as long jump, double jump, etc and lead to beating the game in a normal progression. It would also allow the infinite height glitch to be used because it's not useful in allot of places when you play the game "normally" but could still be used creatively in a few places. Even with infinite height allowed I'm not sure that Kung Lao is the best character in "All Medallions" because the small amount of time he could save in a few areas (with the glitch) he might lose that time on the boss fights.

Someone recently told me about a new glitch that greatly reduces the time of a run.

Now because this glitch changes the game so drastically I propose it be added as a new variable for any%. So the runs on the board be changed to any% no level skips or any% no infinite height glitch and runs using the new glitch be any%. I will do some more runs now that this glitch has resparked my interest so thanks to PYTHON 77 for letting me know about it.

When I was looking at the rules before running the N64 version I noticed it wasn't listed as banned so I was just curious as to why. I assumed it was because it just wasn't stated in the rules when the leaderboard was first made but I figured I'd mention it anyway.

Shouldn't the cheat menus be banned since all of the special characters can be accessed without them?

Though there is one option on the N64 version that I think could make a cool misc category, 1 round fights. It's a faster and shorter run but considering I'm the only person to run the N64 version I wouldn't see a reason to add it.

The other one that could make a cool misc category would be the endurance kombat that makes the Tower (almost) all endurance fights. Again unless there is ever another person interested there is no reason to add it but I'll run em both for fun anyway.
