No no. I know exactly what you mean. It would still rely on the paintings for the fastest route, but it would be a completly different movement. For example snow kingdom, where you just go up a hill and get the moon, instead of going into Shiveria.

It only displays the cutscene, the first time you enter one of the 4 rooms. When you die in one of the rooms, it automaticly allows you to (for example) roll right away.
