You can compete but you will have to put in 10 times more time than anyone on pre 1.16.100. It’s basically just highly time consuming by comparison but technically you can still do the same route (but it’ll never happen, trust me I’ve been running 1.16.100 for months)

Also the mods will notice and fix it. I have also submitted an 11 hour run instead of 11 mins before

The .200 update does have a filter, it’s the very last one in the list. I think a good filter would be .100+ For sure. If there’s not enough for a new leader board

I actually paused the download at the time but the game crashed every time until I eventually removed it and redownloaded. Once you go online at all you’re forced to update really and once you do there’s no undoing it sadly.

I’ve started trying to run RSG but even still it feels a huge step backwards especially as you’re competing with the new strats people can use. I think you have to imagine .100 as a separate cat in your head to even try it because it’s not comparable to the real runs. The at ‘least you tried’ category 😄

Edit - There’s actually a few of us stuck with the update so maybe we need to see who can clock the fastest .100 RSG Time over the next 2 weeks or so? A bit of friendly competition

Sorry to be so negative all the time. I appreciate the advice and discussion. Just frustrating that it’s no longer really possible to complete competitive SSG runs anymore

Asdapath, I know what your saying but I’ve had several dozen attempts now and not once have I got double digit pearls. I’ve tried dropping 4 stacks on them to test it out and they only dropped 9. Seems like there are some huge odds to actually get a 13+ amount. Never mind the time it takes them to trade etc.

I know grinding out runs is part of it but when 99/100 are doomed cos of RNG and not your own fault it’s not really much fun

Has anyone actually gotten enough pearls to complete a run in .100?
