Yeah well, worth attempting the first time in your run, then maybe use the corner backup afterwards if it fails. It works on 60fps and uncapped as far as I'm aware. You can also try it multiple times, starting from the stairs in front of the door, you'll acquire enough speed.
It's important to go either to the right or the left of the door, because the "scratch" action will move the cat towards the middle of it, which will then allow you to clip through. If you go straight for the middle, it won't work.
Yeah same, just tried it and it doesn't even want to get close to it. And there's absolutely nothing close to the door except 2 NPCs. Might be a tough one to crack, but skipping Control Room would be a huge time save, surely worth looking for glitches. Just the cutscenes by themselves take so much time.
@Cornpalaceboy even if you "push" the box? That'd be a good 4mins time save, it'd be huge
Wow @Cornpalaceboy, that is for sure better than the normal way. Also after 1h15+, which is GREAT.
I'm just wondering... If there's a way to bring the box to the OUTSIDE final door, and skip the whole Control Room. But I don't even know if the zone loads before you open the roof and if those machines go down stairs?
Yeah for sure, I was considering there will eventually be glitches, but right now nothing to do with it. I'm pretty confident there will be a major glitch by July 29th
I think the routing in All Songs would be interesting, as getting a song while another one is playing is going to be essential. So the routing might be all over the place and not only "get all the songs THEN give all the songs".
So I was wondering if any of you had original ideas for categories. There is obviously going to be:
- Any%
- 100%
- Any% No OoB
- 100% No OoB
- Any% Glitchless
- 100% Glitchless
Otherwise, any idea? I had some, good ones and bad ones, though I'd share them :
- All Souvenirs (Ends when you get the last souvenir)
- All Songs (Quick category where you need to get, give and listen, to all the songs
- Die% (Get sucked asap)
Any other ideas?
I personally don't like the idea. It's nice for short, no side-quest games. But other than Any% and 100%, if any category emerges, like All Souvenirs or All Songs, then it wouldn't work. That's why most games of this caliber usually take RTA 3rd party software instead.
Why is the page "LEVEL LEADERBOARD" the one that opens up when we look up the game? When I speedran it, I came here to look up the times and thought there was only 1 runner (Lynx). I'm just saying, it's maybe not the most appealing page at first sight for new players.
Also in the settings, do you put DIRECTIONAL CLIMBING or neh?
Hey guys, can you explain quickly how you've built up the fastest class? Most of the runs don't include the setup and just start with the run.
Glock without extended mag is pretty much the only information we have and I think it'd put some more people on the map as of right now, without optimal setup, a sub 2mins is basically impossible and discouraging.
Also, first door is 1s faster than any of my runs for some reason. Is there a trick in the tunnel or something? Idk how it's possible.
Thank you. :D

Oh thanks. I misunderstood the "PREFERRED PJ64 1.6.x" I thought any version was fine but 1.6.x was the "best" version... I'll try it out and see if it fixes anything, thanks :)
Basically, with ANY controller, I'm unable to go left in the PJ64 3.0.1.5664 emulator. It works on Bizhawk so I don't know what's wrong.
I did the following :
- Make sure it's mapped correctly
- Plug/Unplug everything
- Uninstall/Reinstall PJ64
Anyone know if a software might be interfering or something like that? Thank you.
I actually went in the Forums for this. With the randomizer in development, people WILL want to speedrun on emulator. Obviously, as stated Mooshiros, just a sub-category would be nice. Just letting you know, I'm one of them.
Also, the 2DS, the game, anything required to record. It's never gonna be "only 50$".
Just sharing my thoughts.
