Oregon, USATo clarify, we're not proposing running the tutorial 3 times. The mentality more here is "Can I buy the game, boot it up, hit new game and do the run?", so it would only be done once, however, since one could argue it's not any more required to get to the final episode as it is to complete an individual character run, that aspect is debatable.
As for the reports, I personally like the idea specifically for Terra, as this makes for more routing specific for this category vs just doing 3 of the same any% runs in a row.
A post was written and sent over discord recently proposing the idea of altering all stories to allow a mix of difficulties, creating a sort of "true all stories" category. This way, for instance, if someone wanted to run all stories, but didn't like Terra crit or Aqua beginner, they could do Terra beginner and Aqua crit in the same run. The mods have talked it over a bit, and here's what we've been discussing:
- Having three versions of the all stories category: All stories any%, all stories (beginner) and all stories (critical). Critical would still require completion of the final and secret episodes, while the other two would only require final.
In addition to this, we've also opened discussion about whether we should allow the use of external save files in order to cut unlock requirements from the run. Our proposal is this:
- In order to make things more consistent with other games, as well as make all stories any% a true any% category that requires no prior completion of the game to run, we're proposing requiring the tutorial(though this can be debated, as it is something skippable before the run even starts) and all unlock conditions for the final episode to be required within all stories runs.
We would like input on these topics from the members of the community. What are people's feelings on these changes? And if we were to implement the requirement changes and not allow "NG+ content", what would we do with current runs?
Now that the discussion on this has died down, we've done some final talks on this and come to a decision:
Timers are no longer required for runs of BBS. However, if you submit a run without a timer, it will be required to be in one continuous video and immediately skip to/show the battle report at the end. Runs with timers will not need to show the battle report if they want to let the final cutscenes play out.
The mods do more than verify runs. I myself have had a large role in updating the boards themselves for new releases, as well as fixing vod links links all over the various boards. Just because we can't quite compare to those who consistently have an open srcom tab doesn't mean we're any more or less deserving of the position.

I was actually unaware the Skype group still existed. I'd say discord purely for the fact that I can easily access it on my phone and more importantly, already use it (well that and Skype likes to crash constantly).
And that's a fair point Toji. I suppose the real issue may even just be that I just want to do more, but not doing as much comes with the package of convenience, I suppose.
So I don't know where this "need" or mentality came into play for Hobz to be a "dictator" for the community that everything gets funneled into. I know Hobz isn't at fault, I'm not necessarily blaming anyone, I think it just happened more naturally based on various other factors, such as Hobz redoing the lbs, discord, etc, but regardless, the mentality exists and I, as a leaderboard mod, am to an extent questioning what I even do anymore.
To add a bit of context, one of the big issues that sparked a lot of this is the khspeedruns twitch page. This was created by Hobz in order to host community events, spotlights, etc and more recently, the KH relay. For one, very few even knew Hobz even made the page. I myself was under the impression White and Saiyanz did and as I was being proactive in adding in my input to them about the relay, I wrongfully haggled saiyanz for not updating the page at all with no knowledge whatsoever that he couldn't. Furthermore, after further looking into this, it was found that only Hobz had the info for it, would not hand it out and even used a real personal password for it. As a leaderboard mod, I can't help but feel I should at least have SOME power over it, be it the info or at least editor. What if Hobz isn't around? What then? Why can't we go to someone else like Biz or Sonic? What do mods even do anymore other than mash out the occasional verify button, or often in my case, not even do that because they're concerned someone else would have rejected.
Another thing is back in the day, we had a leaderboard mod skype group. With the advent of the forums and discord, it died off, but now as a result, all we have is here. This is fine and all, but here's the thing: I don't always need to type up some elaborate forum post for every question I might want to be directed to other mods. And more importantly, I work a lot. I'm not home a lot, I'm on my phone and my phone has data charges. I can't always just load srcom and lurk the forums. Now, the thing I prefer about discord AS A PROGRAM over others is the ability to see any chat you missed without needing to be in the server, like you would in teamspeak or something. It might not be the MOST necessary thing, but right now, it just feels rather difficult to talk amongst mods. Arranging people to all be together for "meetings" is a bitch and we don't always have the luxury of being able to watch everything and a centralized place we all have easy access to would make communication way easier.
Basically to sum it up, basically everything feels like it's getting funneled to Hobz and all mods need to be able to handle things on their own too.
So it's occurred to me this doesn't contribute to the hate spreading and offensive treatment issue at all. It is, however, a valid topic, so rather than derail this, I've put my former post in it's own thread. Please discuss that there and keep on topic here.

@Muffin @Drazerk IIRC beating R/R gets you Ultima Weapon, Diamond Dust, One-Winged Angel, Ansem, Lexaeus and Zexion, all from chests in DI, TT and CO. I know they exist because I have them on one of my files, however I can't see them being of much, if any use. Still though, it would count as a legit NG+ bonus. My only issue with it is that if the KH2 stuff is obtainable on NG like Rebel supposedly did, separating would just essentially result in a category nobody would run.
Edit: The requirements for these are uncertain BTW. I'm assuming the enemy cards are beat Riku as they're Riku exclusive fights. As for Ultima, Draz did you have clears from both characters on your card? I've heard some places that it requires BOTH stories. As for the other two keyblades, I've heard various: Riku, Sora, even just beating Marluxia 1. The point still stands though, they're probably useless.
Well it's a realtime timer, so I GUESS, but there's no real reason you couldn't just run livesplit or something on your PC anyways, capture card or not and just upload your splits to splits.io seperate.
So basically instead of the old proposition of:
