There are two things I'd like to address in this list of strawpolls

  1. Should 1.10+ Autojump be allowed in speedruns?

http://www.strawpoll.me/12369864

  1. I had the idea of adding an "All Maps" speedrun, which involves playing every map in a specific category in one go. Should this be a thing potentially?

Polling ends on the 21st

FlareX found a version of the skip that still works in the current patch. This can be seen in this run:

I will still maintain the old runs as removed, however I will say that the world record pre-patch is 51.983 by ThunderPlayz followed by 52.567 by tac23tac23.

Voetiem did a run of All TTs and having Custom Maps here would be pretty cool (even just in level leaderboard xd)

See the comments of Maxi's post regarding the unban of RazorJ. I explain everything there. It seemed a lot of people didn't know it was unbanned, so I made a post specifying this

For players who aren't in the community, the leap being referred to (RazorJ) is a version of the 2nd leap which can be seen here:

After consideration, we have decided that Razor's Leap on Sandstorm (which is also called RazorJ or CheetahJ (I refuse to call it either of those regularly) will be banned for the following reasons:

  1. It appears to be heavily ping-biased, making it resort to either luck or ping manipulation, both of those being pretty bad for speedrunning.

  2. PlebJ (A version of the third leap in Skylands that is banned as well for the same reasons) was found to be an overall distance of .5 shorter than that of the Sandstorm Leap (~ 14.2 blocks vs. ~ 13.7 blocks). Since PlebJ is banned, we see no reason that one should be banned but not the other

If someone finds a way to make either / both of these leaps in a way that doesn't rely on your ping, please let us know, and we will consider it. But for now, the leap shall be banned, and all runs containing it will be removed with a notice in the comments of the video

This thread exists only to inform people who has ban currently (if you think someone shouldn't be banned or someone should be and you don't know if they are already)

This may be unnecessary but there should be little harm

Razorblade8888 - Speeding up runs. Has been checked several times over the past year and is still believed to speed up / have sped up runs.

CaptainPhoenix18 - Speeding up runs. I've had a civilized conversation regarding it with him one night on skype. If anyone is to be unbanned, it's likely him. EDIT: CaptainPhoenix18 (GappledUHC) is now UNBANNED

JesseMCSM - Openly admitted to cutting frames on his runs.

Pyxelated - Admitted to cheating his Through hell Leaper, Disruptor, and Skylands Leaper.

This is an updated version of the previous timeline created by Flare. Me and Maxi had felt that the previous was too biased (See the locked thread if you want evidence of this). Credit to Flare for original post

For now this will be the pseudo-official timeline. Feel free to inform me of anything that I may have missed, for I plan to include the first world record for EVERYONE that had one.

IMPORTANT NOTE: For Warper and Kitless World Records, I am only including the main player (the one who finished)

By definition, wouldn't the frames in your editor be the most accurate representation of time, because it is the exact time in frames. It's what I used to time runs and I did so for those same reasons

¤I apologize if this is not where I should be posting this. The mods do not frequent the forum of the specific area I mod, so I was hoping that contact via the general forum would be fine¤

For the ROM Hack "Dragon Escape", I request that Paris_Labrador and Tiggz16 be added as moderators.

United StatesFatMan9229 years ago

Without thinking, I decided to attempt to reshape the layout. As a result all records disappeared from the forum. From memory and solving, I put in 27/30 World Records. The holders of the other 3, I request that you re-submit your world records

The request is to make another segment in the ROM Hacks for the Dragon Escape minigame on Mineplex.

The current forum that is hosting the Dragon Escape world records is a forum on the mineplex site ( mineplex.com/forums/m/11929946/viewthread/12741330-mineplex-book-world-records-think-youre-among-best-comment-if-you-do-850500-views ). While a server moderator owns the forum, I manage the dragon escape section. Recently I noticed that the mod who owns the forum has been busy, and was unable to update the forum (While I manage the DE records, I don't / can't actually have rights to the forum). I request for them to be added to this site for a few reasons:

  1. This is a more professional environment that'll make the speedrunning aspect of the game seem more serious
  2. It makes both mine and the mod's lives easier (He doesn't have to manage that, and I don't have to wait for him to be on to get the info)

So please consider adding Dragon Escape to the ROM Hacks.

Sincerely, DaFatMan922
