Hello,
I have added a bunch of new categories to the Tetris DS leaderboard for you guys to challenge yourselves with. Enjoy!
Added the game Magical Drop PLUS 1! to the Magical Drop series: https://www.speedrun.com/Magical_Drop_PLUS_1
@0_0SKEL0_0 Interesting idea. I guess after being Lakitu each time you would soft reset? Curious as to what a run would look like of all Lakitu stages. Also since Easy has only 10 stages and Normal has 11 stages, I assume it would only be 10 Easy Lakitus and 11 Normal Lakitus?
All done, enjoy: https://www.speedrun.com/magical_drop_vi
Added a "x5" category to the Extensions leaderboard to have both TA and PPL have them now.
Hello,
This thread is here for anyone that has any ideas or suggestions of some new Pokemon Puzzle League Category Extensions that you guys want to make and/or give a try. These ideas can be ones that can be done either on console, or on emulator. Let's see some interesting things you guys can come up with. :)
Yeah, some of the individual stages on the easier episodes take almost literally no time at all, and even some episodes in some of the game modes are only a mere few minutes long.
Who knows, there may be a bunch of people that will prefer to only do one single episode instead of several.
Hello,
So with the release of version 1.5.0 of the game came a new planet and a recalculated percent completion of the Campaign Mode. With that, the following changes/additions have been made:
- Any% is now renamed to 100%. Time still ends when you beat the Golden Phoenix (Stage 15 of Trochox).
- 100% is now renamed to 127%. Time still ends when you beat level 20 on Technus (formerly Bonus Levels).
- A new category has been added which is 154% where time ends when you beat level 20 on Bricole (the new bonus levels planet).
Enjoy everyone! :)
So with the recent release of the English version of Magical Drop 2 for the Switch's SNES Online, I have gone ahead and changed the difficulty names for the Story Mode (SNES) category to reflect that of what they are in the English Switch SNES Online version of the game. Do not worry, anyone that has submitted runs for the SNES version will not need to edit their runs in any way. Have fun and happy puzzling. :)
I see USA and JPN times for 20 and 50 Rounds were merged back together. I assume that's because the runs are too short for version differences to be significant enough?
It does, interesting. Hooray for another version difference between Woods games lol \o/
Wouldn't the run end upon completion of Round 255? I know in the SNES version Round 255 just repeats over and over again.
I just finished taking a look at one of Doccano's runs playing the JPN version of the game and did also notice many times that random bombs would transform into monsters, an element of RNG that is not present in the US version. I would say just on that difference alone that separate categories for the US/JPN versions could be made.
Ok, so with jammitch's analysis of load times between EMU and N64, I have gone the Super Mario 64 route and separated the runs between being done on Nintendo 64 and being done on Emulator.
I've also wondered about if there are indeed different versions of the game out there (1.0, 1.1, etc.).
As of right now, savestates are BANNED across the entire Puzzle League series.
Would it be possible to add a high score category to the leaderboard for this game? It'd be a very interesting challenge figuring out how to maximize points in each stage in this unique puzzle game.
