Glad to hear you've gotten your account back - I've unbanned you from the server. Welcome back :)
Hey there, I'd like to request removal of a few super mods for The Talos Principle ( https://www.speedrun.com/talos_principle ). The super mods in question are neogia, Haizan, Kovanel, and okayden. These mods haven't been active on the site in a year, and haven't been active in the community for years. Thanks.
Be sure to keep level caching on ultra for fast loading though.

You probably just have a different paint set now. Paint sets can be found here for maps with 4 possible spawn locations, and here for maps with 3 possible spawn locations.
We can answer any more questions you have on the Discord server.
Hello, all super mods for The Talos Principle are inactive. Could you please super mod me?
A few of us had this problem, including myself. I went into my completed file, looked at every QR code I could find, and after quite a while of doing this I eventually unlocked the message. I then saved my game by loading a new level, and from then on it has worked for me.
If you want to tell when you unlocked the message you can type "con_fLastLinesStayTime = 5" into the console which will show what the console's saying while you're playing the game ("con_fLastLinesStayTime = 0" to turn it off). You'll know you've unlocked the message when it says "Unlocked player message #515 (total X unlocked; X used)" when you look at the QR code. You can also use this method to test which paint message you're not getting, in case it's not the QR one that's causing the problem.
As far as I know, we're not really sure why this happens. I believe that someone once had an idea that this happens when you look at a QR code and unlock the achievement and paint message, but it doesn't get saved that you unlocked the message because you died/reset, or something like that.
A while ago I looked into how the fan slide works for a few hours, there are so many variables that come together to make it put you where it puts you such as FPS (of course), where you're standing, how far away you're standing, when you press space for the second time if you do it that method, and maybe even which way you're looking when you do the fan slide.
I also spent a long time trying to find a consistent way to get flung over to sunshot, and never really found anything much.
Hmm, I haven't tested myself.
Maybe the box acts differently from other items because when you place it at your feet it's underneath you more, which pushes you more up into the tree or something.
Yes, this is known, you can actually do this with every item, not just boxes. This tech is called an item jump. The height you get is indeed quite a bit lower, but this is used all over the place.
Paint for some reason gives you more height, no one knows why, it's pretty weird.
Also, for the second jump, it's much easier off of the tree on the other side. If you use the other tree, you don't need to turn around in mid air.
I have been playing around with Low%, and I found a way go get One Little Buzzer (A5) without paint (this is one of the two paint jumps that are in Low%). I then continued through the route as normal, doing everything else in B before B4 (B4 is where the other pain jump is), but when I got to B4, there was not paint. I then went back to A5, checked for paint (there was paint), went back to B4, and there was paint that time. If we could get it so paint spawns without going back to A, that would save a lot of time because you wouldn't have to go back to A, then return to B.
So does anybody know how paint spawning works?
Also, could Low% have a leaderboard?
The item jump in Trapped Inside only saves about half a second if done optimally over solving the puzzle normally. Also, the alternative has an extra item jump, which means that solving it normally would be about the same as this alternative jump, but if you accidentally break the beam so you can't solve it normally and fast, this would be a good item jump if you can't get the faster one consistent.
Not sure if this is new, but this is a backup for the fall onto the beam at the end of a messenger speedrun.
I was looking at some of the options in this game, and I noticed something that I hadn't seen used before. This is the "Fast Forward" key bind (Options>Keyboard and Mouse>Configure Keys, 7th from the bottom). I checked Azorae's WR and he doesn't use it, then checked the rules and saw nothing about it there. I was wondering, is this legal to use? Or is fast forwarding against the rules?
