Using alternative keyboard layouts from QWERTY, provided they were not created for the express purpose of gaining an advantage in Minecraft speedrunning, is acceptable.

Using mouse firmware to rebind hotbar hotkeys (or other controls) is acceptable in versions where those keys can be rebound. In some early versions, the hotbar hotkeys are not remappable. In these versions, you must use the default hotkeys.
