You can still run the game with music. Just separate it with virtual audio cables or a cheap mixer so OBS doesn't pick up the music. OBS studio does a good job with separating audio tracks.

Konradgavin, it's not punishing. It's not too hard to make it so you hear your music, and your recording doesn't pick it up. Either using Virtual Audio Cables or a cheap mixer.
