FinlandCurrent glitches and techs for release of the game and opening of the boards
Hello,
soon the boards will be open and there have been a lot of discussion in Massive Monster Discord about Speedrunning and techs for it, so I decided to compile currently known glitches to here in speedrun.com, since it can get quite hectic sometimes in Discord chat(s).
I'd be dividing glitches into four categories: Major glitches, Minor glitches, Speedbumps and Game breaking glitches. I believe it would be beneficial to know all of these types of glitches, so we can either take advantage of those or avoid negative effects caused by those.
Major glitches are defined by me as glitches, which will sequence brake the game or have similar major positive impact on gameplay. Sequence breaks (tp bug), item/followind duping etc. are/can be considered as major glitches.
Minor Glitches include common speedtech, such as animation canceling or cut scene skips. These will skip some minor content, but will not break the general game flow.
Speedbumps are minor inconveniences which will slow down the game progression a bit, but are recoverable (but could lead to a reset). This includes glitched cutscenes and other softlocks.
Game breaking glitches are stuff, that will lead to a complete reset of a run, so basically hard locks, which are unrecoverable.

#Current Major Glitches ##Follower cloning/duping (Door hub and temple) After opening a door, quickly exit the door area back to the home area. This works after opening a door to Anura. By quickly quitting the area, game duplicates some of the followers (which didn't start despawning before you leaved the room), making it possible to open all the doors to every area of the game.
Follower glitch is also possible to activate in temple by exiting temple before followers despawning. Be careful in NGM category that you have appropriate amount of followers when opening doors!

This is a major glitch, because you can sequence break the game and have the ability to use all the dungeons before you actually have the intended amount of cult members. You may also stash any new cult members by not converting them, so they do not have any upkeep or have the ability to leave the cult.
##Teleport Glitch TP Glitch gives you the ability to enter any map areas before they are unlocked. Before map is fully loaded, you may enter any area by fastly moving your mouse and pressing E or left mouse button to enter the area.

This is a major glitch, because this gives an ability to get to any area before they are unlocked. For example in midas's cave you can sacrafice 4 of your followers and get a golden fleece without any RNG before Leshy.
##Talisman cloning Performing minor glitch "Midas Animation Skip" on 4th sacraficed follower may open you the possibility to clone a 5th talisman piece. (Relevant in 100% category)

Mayor glitch because duping talisman pieces lets you skip another piece in other place, making this a small sequence break.
#Current Minor Glitches ##Cutscene skip By tabbing out and back in of the crown into cutscene, you may skip it and start playing the game, saving time. Note:
Patched out in 1.0.16 (and newer versions), works in older patches.

##Follower skip "During the intro dungeon, when entering the room where you’re supposed to rescue your first follower, immediately dodge roll to the left, stay close to the wall, and kill the left enemy; then talk to Ratau. The killed enemy is supposed to say something, but the game stops the dialogue at that point, without triggering the combat. You can simply exit the room, you will still get the follower." ##Fast recall Using Omnipresence after converting a boss or collecting the Heart of the heretic, you may get fastly back to home.

##Ratau skip You may skip the first Ratau encounted by rolling fastly next to the wall of next exit and exiting to the next room.

##Fast Temple Entry After building the temple and entering immediately, you may skip a Ratau cutscene. Warning! Exiting too slowly will softlock the game and you will have to exit to the main manu and back to the game to play the cutscene which started

##Early base exit "After building the kitchen and cooking a meal in the tutorial, immediately dodge roll upwards, to get as far away from Ratau as possible. After skipping through Ratau’s dialogue, you will gain control over your character during the cutscene that plays afterwards, allowing you to walk up towards the loading zone." ##Gauntlet/Attack Animation Cancelling After getting the 3rd gauntlet strike (or any other attack animation you'd like to repeat), use dodge before the attack animation ends. If attacked before the dodge animation ends, the last animation played will be used again. With this rythm, you may continiously use the 3rd (or the big) gauntlet attack to deal massive amount of damage.

##Cutscene moving It is sometimes possible to move during cutscenes with a well timed roll. This will make possible to move to the next object you need to go. Sometimes it is possible after fights to skip some cutscenes by leaving the room as fast as possible.

##Multiple Confessions Glitch "When the confession is near the end (right before the follower starts to sprint outside), hold left/down on the movepad, and spam click where the lamb's feet are inside the booth. Right after the follower's loyal bar fills up the Confession booth becomes clickable and you can redo the confession. Don't forget to consider the automatic camera movement." by. ##Stuck Follower Tasks "Create 3 Refineries, 2 side-by-side, and 1 just in the middle so there is no green space in between them. Start consecrating resources on all 3,and wait for the followers. Then talk to the follower on the left-top side one and bless/encourage or give him a gift, so a new follower comes in and start working on that same refinery. If done correctly the first follower will get stuck in that space and start doing tasks without moving, that includes collecting seeds/poop, farming, building stuff, praying etc.. ##Midas animation skip Standing close enough to Midas’ throne when sacrificing followers to him will make it possible to interact with Midas again after the sculpture was placed and before the Lamb walks into position to receive the Talisman piece from Midas.

#Current Speedbumps ##Slow Fast Temple If entered too slowly to Fast Temple, the Ratau cutscene at the middle of base has started. This will softlock your game and requires an exit to main menu and back to the save file to continue the run.

##Fast food worker Doing food before the quest has popped up will not count towards the progression of the task, so you will need to do it again.

#Current Game Breaks ##Too few coins Not as much of a glitch, but it is possible to not have enough coins to build the Statue. If you do not have/do not get 30 coins before you leave the first darkwoods boss, you will lock the game.

##SC3, only 1 follower Going to Silk Cardle 3 with only 1 follower will lock your game, since Shamura tries to pull 2 followers from your base to fight you, but is unable to due to lack of a follower. Be sure to have at least 2 followers to avoid this soft lock.
