So I kinda feel stupid but I can't get the LiveSplit autosplitter to work. It doesn't automatically start or stop either. I'm trying to speedrun Portal 2 on pc (not on an emulator) and I've been trying for a few days now to get LiveSplit to work. I activated the autosplit and used pre-made splits but it doesn't work. There's no error message or anything and in the autosplitter setting the only options are to use another autosplitter and to change if it can start/split. I feel like I've missed a big part of the setup process, do I have to play the game on an emulator or something?

"Just did some quick mods to make the game more speedrun-friendly until hopefully these changed can be added officially. -Instant reset key: R -Added milliseconds to timer -Timer starts after first click -Use Q/E to zoom in/out as alternative zoom. Might be easier for some Just drop in game folder and overwrite. -Just a note, it's harmless but pressing the reset key immediately after clearing the level normally is kinda jank. 1.1 -zoom keys -fix timer starting immediately on quick reset while pressed. 1.2 -Moved to using BepinEx to load as a plugin to avoid breaking again in future game upates (direct download)
