Interesting question...I was wondering the same thing. I know he has a button on his controller that does his splits as well. Instead of manually hitting a button on the computer.

I just started running this game over a month ago. I don't have an emulator/save states and I've gone from my 1st completed run of 6:40 to now a 5:15. It's nothing special but I keep adding something new every time I PB. Hell I don't even do the wrong warp, never attempted a 200 8-1, BBG, or thought about the pipe jump in 8-4. The guys who run around the 5 min mark or lower are insane. Just like anything in life you don't get "good" without putting the time in. Look at the world record holder Darbian....24,474 times before he pulled off what he did.
