For going backwards, I can't seem to get past -26.
sYn, Can you show us how you achieved both of your records?
Honestly, I'd first film a live run attempt, upload it to YT, then submit the run here with a link to the vid. The second option (which I already know exists) would be to submit a direct link to YOUR replay (using anybody else's replays results in a ban) for run submission.
Ok, I see what you're saying. I was thinking of the case where somebody would upload a youtube video, and then the video would be later taken down due to whatever reason.
I'd reject all of the unavailable videos. Otherwise, they'd be just taking up space on the boards.
Also, with replays, you could theoretically use a program like Cheat Engine to slow the game down for the "run", get a PB/WR, then save the replay, and get away with it.
Or you can also just google "game boy color bios", and find it that way.
Sorry for necro-ing, but I was thinking about something similar to this for all the gen 1 original games. But, the trouble for Yellow is that Gengar can't learn Surf, so you'd have no way of getting to Cinnabar Island or the Seafoam Islands later in the game.
What exactly are the speeds for each level, even beyond level 19?
Do you think that a run could be done using the in-game passwords (maybe save for "credits", which just shows the credits.)?
I second rcdrone's idea for a version subcategory. Maybe see if it could be done for the GB version as well.
There's a new version of this doodle that's out today that's for the women's championship. I was just wondering if that could possibly be its own entry in the Google Doodle series, or if it would fall under this game. Flufferparty, please let me know as soon as you see this, please. :)
Yeah, I just ran across it on here yesterday. It looks like a neat little crossover game that I think could've been ported over to the GBC or maybe become an early GBA release.
I haven't had save states crash VBA on me.
If both BGB and Gambatte could both run under Wine in Linux (I already run VBA under it), then I'd give them consideration. That being said, I don't really see what the problem is with VBA.
I got it from their site, I think. I haven't played Nullpomino in a while.
