Nice to see you get into speedrunning! I've actually recently been thinking of running one of the NSMB games, best of luck on your sub 30 goal.

I remember I think it was in Paper Mario: TTYD there was a guy that used a moon jump hack to do something easier/faster. It just seemed a lot more odd to me than the more "conventional" ways of cheating like disguising a TAS or splicing.

I feel as putting a paywall for someone to view a run should be treated the same as someone privating a youtube video, so i'd judge it by that standard. Personally I think that if you really want to make your twitch stream sub-only at least have a mirror link for an easily accessible youtube video or something.

A "good start to speedrunning" is just to watch different speedruns of games you like and see if it'd interest you. Rules on emulation vary game by game so you need to check with the community first.

The Riddle School series, its a fun series of Point and Click with some wack plot starting with the 4th game. I also love the developer behind it, Jonochrome, his work is great.

^ To add on to what Oreo was saying,

You don't necessarily need to have a 3DS capture card. Those are rare to come by nowadays and as long as your video quality isn't garbage you can generally just point a camera at it if you have one you can use. But yeah, the golden rule of this site is "no vid, no did".

@kiwamiplayer your only option is to wait. and you can look at other psp game rules as it varies whether or not ppsspp is allowed for speedruns.

@Chrispyy While I do agree with Pear, do you think you could specify the reason for your rejection? Assuming the mods are competent, they'll usually leave a reason for rejecting the run unless its something like trolling.
