Sizzyl any update on my Assisted Blindfolded category idea from like a year ago?
If I had a guess, it's because the first input starts up the round while start doesn't actually start the round until you press the first input.
So, remember when I suggested the 'Assisted Blindfolded' category, but you (the mods) said that you wouldn't add it unless more people wanted to try it? Well, DGR's newest video has Amanda guiding him through levels completely blindfolded, and while he didn't do this as an actual speedrun, I think a lot of his viewers will want to try this too. So, is there a chance this can now become a category?
Hey so it's been a few months now and I was wondering if there's any chance that my Assisted Blindfolded speedrun category idea can get on the leaderboard soon as an official category since it's been a while since a new category was added.
So I was looking at the WR score for 2P High Score and I saw that the video proof that I thought would be there was just a picture of a score adding up to 54,760, not the submitted score of 154,760. There was also a mod note saying that the submitters had to get a similar score with video soon or else the score would be removed, which doesn't seem to have happened a year and half later. I know this seems like a rant but I'm really confused on why this is on the leaderboard as the WR score and not as the third highest score it really is.
Kevin700P that makes sense and I'm very excited that you like this idea. I probably won't be one who speedruns this category as I don't have a capture card or a camera, but I really hope that other people try this out. I'll be waiting for when this becomes a category and I get to watch people play this. Thanks!
My idea is an 'Assisted Blindfolded' category where the only real difference from the normal 'Blindfolded' category is that a person guides you through the levels. Since the person blindfolded is being told what to do, I feel it would make the most sense to make the runner stay permanently blindfolded throughout the entire run. My only add-on would be that the number of easy levels completed for this category should increase (maybe to 16), as the runner is being told how to beat the level quickly. I'll let you decide whether or not skipping levels is allowed because you probably know better than me which would be better for this type of run. Thanks for reading and please let me know what you think.
