Illinois, USASo i've been looking into speedrunning this game because I love it, and every run I start, i get some differences from my first run (Examples being Redav showing up at the end of the the ghosty caves and the solution to the Guest Room being different with 1 less lever). I've tried deleting saves, uninstalling and reinstalling, nothing fixes it. Any ideas? I hope people are still watching this board... lol. It just loses me a decent amount of time.
Sorry for the late response, been real busy with my jobs/schoolwork this week ): Dont worry I aint about hoarding strats, i was planning to make a thread/guide post with a video on what im refering to so people can improve on my setup and try to use it elsewhere in the game I'll hopefully have time friday, if not i can try to explain it in text but its really hard to understand without video play-by-play
In my next run ill try to show off a big skip i found in the current version, ive just been to busy recently to do a full run in one sitting
I dunno I mean i feel like we should be running on the intended version by the games creator but maybe thats just me If other peeps disagree thats coo

Is there a reason you would want to play on an older version? Like glitches or something? Im p sure all the current runs are on current version but im not sure what mods want
Hi all! A couple months ago i saw Aether's gdq run of this game and instantly became interested cuz i played the crap out of this game as a kid. I finally have time to start taking it seriously and started practicing 150 stars, but i just cant figure out how to slide cancel like I saw in Aethers run. Can you guys help me out? Sorry if this was asked in an earlier thread already, i tried to find it via this forum and googling withn no success.
A Sounds like a plan, they are p easy to get, and its not like 10% more damage and bigger clips breaks the game
The rules dont mention anything about Golden Guns on or off in Story Mode and those definitely make a difference The current WR uses so should we maybe specify whether they are allowed/banned for future runs?
I'm pretty sure Golden Guns give 10% more damage and increased mag size, right? I've been doing lots of research prepping a run and that's what I've found That might be an important distinction in rule sets too, they definitely make some shootdodge scenarios way easier because of the increased ammo per clip
