If it is as you have shown only 10ms difference, it could be difference in rounding in FO2. While I would just brush it off, since it's such a minor defference, there are times on IL leaderboards where that 10ms makes a difference.

But it could discourage someone with a bad internet to upload a 4min video, instead of a 1min one.

Nevertheless I think I agree and it has to be done from now on.

Nice! Although I'm mostly casual, having more races is always cool.

Yea it's something I mentioned earlier too (the wreckless category for class speedruns), wrecking yourself needs proper strategy, but it's still very random Besides it would be nice to have a category like glitchless, but the closest to a useful glitch in this game is abusing the wrecked mechanics.

You can wreck yourself in 50 seconds and when you don't manage to do that in that time you automatically lose like 50 sec. When you're really unlucky it might take like two and a half minutes, so you can lose A LOT of time just being unlucky throughout the whole run.

But at the same time when I was testing wrecking on one map, I was able to constantly get like 45 sec (by constantly I mean I did it 4 times in a row, then after a break I started a run and didn't do it), so I bet with a lot of practice It can be not that random.

As for the timer, I believe me and few other people started the timer as you skip through the message Enter START RACE, while I saw some started the timer when it says GO. Sadly the rules are very vague, but it's only 3 second "time loss".

For now my internet is worse than slow, I can't even upload any new times because of data quota. But I should have new internet in summer, and a lot of free time as I'll be finishing high school, so I'm down to do some derby class or even any%. Racing the 100% category... Hell no! I can't even do these whole acrobatic events! (unless there is some trick to them I don't know about)

Well I also have the retail version and there weren't any complications with me being unable to submit a run. But in my version I have some troubles with capturing the game and because of how I set it up to do so, I have to alt tab to split. Also if 5-6 cars get wrecked game starts lagging like crazy. So if you ask me as long as there aren't any differences in the game it doesn't matter. But because of what I said earlier and you pointing out the sale, I'm most likely gonna get the steam. Good luck on the runs, always cool seeing more competition. ;)

You don't have to do the finals nor the bottom row events. Only the races that are in the Derby Class tab. I mute the music because videos get restricted in some countries because of that, but you don't have to.

As much as the replay is considered "proof" of the run (one of my runs where I forgot to turn recording on i submitted a replay and it was approved) it doesn't allow others to check the route you took very well (also you don't see the speed, nor when you use nitro) Honestly for all laps I just turn recording off and on every time i restart, takes 5 seconds at most and the time it would take to edit the video is far greater. And don't forget you still have to record the replay, sometimes few times when you feel like you can do better, which also takes a while.

There is also a mistake in Farmlands 3 Race Class, the video and the time are for Farmlands 2 Street Class.

Well he can't submit them that's the thing. He uses 2x nitro, and we use normal settings. Some skips do seem very useful and when my freaking Derby Class speedrun uploads I'll start experimenting with single tracks :)

Yea the problem I see here is, by racing poorly you can loose like 20 seconds on one race (that rarely happens), while when opponents miss you when you try to wreck yourself you can loose like one minute if not more and it's not that uncommon.

Although I just did a run of Derby class involving new use of old strats and maybe it's not that bad as I had thought. You wreck yourself 9 times or more if you're lucky and complete normally 19 races (huh I didn't know my made up ratio was actually right).

I still think a wreckless category or something like that would be a good thing. But I don't make the call.

So as Grim said a while back, you can wreck your car to skip a race, which gives you one point to the cup leaderboard. To finish a cup and proceed to the next one you need at least 3rd place . But that's where the problem is. The ratio of races finnished (legit way) and the ones where you wrecked yourself at the end would be like 2:1, making it quite a lot of going backwards and hitting other cars and walls.

It also really depends on RNG of the cars, if they all miss you, you can easily lose 30 seconds, while it's not often you'd lose 30 seconds on a race. That makes being good at racing less important than hitting opponents correctly.

I want these speedruns to stay fun, not be "Who can wreck himself the fastest". I don't know how that would be avoided though, you could disallow wrecking yourself, invalidating I think every run so far (not really a great option), make it so you have to win every cup, invalidating nuu's runs, or make it a different category, something like glitchless in other speedruns (which I guess would be the best option?). Option 2, winning every cup in Derby/Race/Street could also be a separate category. What are the mods thoughts on this?

Yea I made the savefile because I thought that is the most reasonable way to do it, have enough money to buy the most expensive car. I haven't made the Street savefile yet, so maybe I'll do that today since it's needed :)

So I'm planning on doing some runs, and I agree with tekt, when all race cups in the derby/race/street class are done, it shows that you have derby cup at 100% and you have 8/8 cups done, and I think that is when the run should end. Just have it say "The run ends as you cross the finish line, completing all derby cups." or something similar.

Also, I think I know how to solve the problem with starting the Race and Street Class categories. Just make 2 savefiles, one for race, one for street with an x ammount of money, I'd say just enough to buy starting cars of a certain class and put the savefiles in the resources. Have it be written in the rules that the proper savefile must be used and that's it.

Tomorrow I'll make the savefiles, RaceSR and StreetSR, not waiting for anyone's response, as it may take some time and I'll see how this goes.
