personally i'd go with timing the load screen to load screen since it's much easier. That is to say, begin timer upon selecting the level. That's just my opinion though
I just became mod for this game due to inactivity from the current record holder, LexoS95, and I completely disagree with the timing metric. Considering there are cutscenes that require skipping in the beginning I think that the time should begin on the menu selection. I have edited their run to reflect this and am posting this here for posterity's sake.

I think too much emphasis is put on "community". Obviously, it's not a unanimous decision amongst all runners, it's just people with "power" in certain areas making the decisions and rules for everyone else.
one thing id recommend is not having ng+ be a misc category. If anything, I think no mtd should be, but i think ng+ has the capability of being one of the cooler categories (that and 100%, mainly) so making it misc seems a little disrespectful to the potential imo

I also know a decent bit about the game in terms of the stuff I play, and I know how to use the website when it comes to changing stuff (not that i advocate that) but im nowhere near the most qualified, but just throwin it out there
