The rules for this run simply state that it ends when the "well done" screen appears, but you can create a glitched version of the screen by dying as you kill the boss. Should this be considered the same as the "well done" screen? the words "well done" are still clearly visible on the screen when this happens.
Update: after a few hours of grinding and a few very close calls, I finally beat my time by 35 centiseconds! I’m very proud of this time. Considering the fact that there is no official leaderboard for this and (to my knowledge) no other active runners, I will probably end my serious attempts here. It’s just not the same with no competition.
To anyone who finds this thread: you probably found this by googling whether or not there were any other runners for this category. I HIGHLY advise you to post any of your own times you have in here, because I would love to breathe new life into this honestly very fun speedrun. I’ll be checking up on this thread from time to time, so I’ll know if someone else comes to take my time, but even if you haven’t beaten me, I’d love to see other people’s PB’s and offer encouragement.
Proof of my time:
Hello SteamEngine! No idea if you’ll ever see this, but your time was the fastest time I could find online, so I’m putting this here: I have beaten your time, and as far as I can tell, my time id the new world record! Video here:
I would love it if my run motivates people to make this an official speedrun category, but I don’t think there’s a lot of runners besides me currently, so I’m not expecting much.
Does the “real time” timer include all of the time you spend between stages? If it doesn’t, why do we need to include both? Also, which is shown as public, in-game time of IRL time? There is like 5 minutes (like 400 speedrun spots) of difference for mine, so I am a bit confused and it’s kind of important.
