If you are doing runs on a console, yes, you would need to record with some sort of capture device. If you are playing on emulator, you will need to use a screen recording software
I wasnt aware there was a 2 player mode. There currently isnt a leaderboard for 2 player speedruns, I cant say for sure if there will be a leaderboard for 2 player runs though. My best guess would be once more people submit runs for the current leaderboards that the Mods might add another category for 2 player
So after you complete the puzzle, it shows a large color version, then fades out, then shows a small color version, then fades out again. So at the end of the small color version's fade out is when the timer ends?
The rules say the run ends when you complete puzzle 1-L. Does that mean as soon as the animation at the end starts? or when the cutscene that says "Congratulations" appears?
I start my timer at the same time as when I push my throttle button and end the timer as I touch the cross walk at the end. I am using LiveSplit btw
I did a 16 star speedrun of the html port of SM64 the other day for fun, honestly almost did better with just using a keyboard than using a controller on a system
