I have tried at least a dozen times and it always brings me to an island in doing it at the exact place a tutorial and that other runs have done it. I got it to go to portal room once but I didn't do anything different. Any help?

i think he means like that but in a random seed like they do in tourneys. You get a random seed but get some time to route it then run it like ssg. I agree with this idea i think it would be an awesome category.

The problem with zylenox pausing was because people were using calculators and geometry to get the exact cords of the stronghold using angles and cords, and that is different than divine travel. Divine travel gets you an angle that you should travel at, so that youre about within a few hundred blocks of the portal, you still have to throw eyes and it is still luck based. Using a calculator, or pen and paper, to geometrically find the cords of the portal is definitely different. Plus most of the pauses in it were just him surveying the land and gathering his thoughts, he only paused twice to figure out the divine travel. I highly doubt it is faked, and I don't think it should have the pause times added on. Maybe in the future they should change the rules on pauses but for this run the rules have allowed for Divine travel and there are no rules disallowing the usage of pauses for it.

@Merl_ I agree but I honestly don't see how it couldve been faked. FSG spawns structures in very specific quadrants and I don't think his run followed that but its hard to tell because he doesn't use F3. Someone could just check the seed and see though I cant at the moment. If it was a set seed he did a very good job of hiding it, and the bonking his head on the tree couldve just been him placing the portal in a different place then usual or something. His dumbest mistake ive found is his extra tall nether portal but it was a cramped place so it couldve just been a miscount which ive done before so it would be understandable. Id say either its a set seed or he got pretty dang lucky because he did have pretty good crafting and he ran the bastion pretty well. Also his one cycle was super good.

I am pretty skilled knowledge wise at speedrunning and have been doing it for a while and ive been practicing FSG, but each time i get a super good seed, one that could probably sub-10, I end up getting really bad times because I spend too long inventory managing and crafting. How can I improve at those?
