With Ouphris the mimic, you need him to be in his mejai form, which you can do by activating the Heka Amulet. Also if you actually click on each level on the IL page, it brings up a leaderboard with the different variables like map size. The only real thing difficulty changes is how much damage certain enemies and obstacles can do. Drowning and crocodile hits for example are the same across the board but the vertical rotating pillars and zealots do different damage based on the difficulty.
So my opinion when it comes to current 100% runs; considering hidden objectives appear when you enter new rooms that have said objective, you already need to essentially uncover 100% of the map, making it redundant to call it 200% etc. If you only uncover 90% of the map, who's to say the room or 2 you missed didn't have a hidden objective within it? any% shouldn't need to worry about the map uncovering while 100% should have it as requirement, which can be verified at the end screen.
Since there's no discord for the game, I figured I would share this interesting softlock I got into earlier today. Most likely was because I entered the door too quickly which didn't get rid of the text and the text is locked within that room somehow. Just gotta delay going in by a tiny bit because I'm pretty sure I did it first 2 frames or something like that...

You should use this to set up everything within the emulator. If you have issues with something, honestly your best bet to get help quick is to join the discord and ask within the #technical-help channel.
100% the emulator used. Btw, mods will usually tell you the reason why a run was rejected on the actual run rejection. Side note: if it was the SM64 bot that rejected the run, most likely culprit is filling out the milliseconds on the submission.
Plenty of people have done runs on PJ64 using KB. IIRC Shans, who is 4th on 120 emu currently, was using keyboard for runs. The definite runner that I knew was on KB before getting an N64 was DumpDome (18th in 120), so its certainly doable, just not recommended if you have access to a controller of some kind.
Apian if you're only saying you'd run it if it was on the LBs, its not that good a category...
If they're looking to be on the LBs, using anything past 1.6 is invalid.
Not like DGR is the first big name to do it either. Panga did this with Rays as well when they met up with Ninji levels. Just depends on the interest for others and whether big names will keep trying to do it as well.
You can join the Usamune server that's linked in Resources here. That would have all the links and FAQs you'd need.
Usamune as long as the only 2 things enabled are Non-Stop and Intro Skip
From the SM64 Bot in the Discord: Project 64 1.6 is the only allowed version for leaderboards because its loading times are consistent across a variety of computers, whereas load times with later versions of the emulator vary a lot by computer. Enforcing 1.6 allows the emulator leaderboard to better reflect the skill of its players.
If you're using a GC controller, there is a way to change loading a state from Cx4 to D-Pad Up through the menus.
Ok so final conclusion: this can be fairly consistent. I tried to stand near the right hole in the gate and found pressing myself against the gate while holding the block helped set it up the spacing. Just throw and walk at the same time and it should work. Sometimes I noticed if you were too in the center of the gate near the X the block would just phase through into the kitchen, though am not sure of this entirely being position based. IL video yields full attempt session (while partially drunk mind you).
this has been known about since this clip, but weirdly I got it on first attempt in video above. Could've just been coincidence, but I have also thrown the block through the gate a few times as well.
Just confirmed with video. This was my first attempt after booting up game just now.
That doc is way more comprehensive than anything that would be on the site. You shouldn't worry about where a leaderboard is hosted anyways, just the fact that it exists.
