As if ELO develops useful site features. How long has it been since they took over? How many not-garbage features have they added? Have they really required this much development time?

GitHub is good for file hosting/sharing and that's really about it.

Flairs are objectively better than pronouns. With a flair, you can express yourself however you want. Pronouns limit you to 3 choices in a dropdown menu. This is a feature that already existed back when we had custom pronouns, but ELO hates fun so of course those got patched out. If you still want your pronouns, just put them in your flair!

The only time this is really an issue is when people have obsessively large and animated signatures, but you can just disallow multimedia in signatures and problem solved.

[/QUOTE] While I am 100% in favor of removing comments, I think this is a pretty poor argument. Comments are not magically opening a pandoras box to 18+ content, you can still expose minors to that stuff through profile themes, your profile picture, your run video, DMs, etc.
In fact it's actually better if it happens in run comments because you won't even get notified of it, and idk about others but I never go to my old runs after I've submit them.
The real solution is to support actual moderation
