Thats just Any% with less steps
Opening a ticket in the discord doesn’t help. Sorry, but we really have a lot of runs sitting in queue and we are understaffed.
Understaffed? Excuse me?
According to publically accessible API data, this leaderboard and the category extensions get about 70 runs per day, with about 40 runs verified a day. Both leaderboards combined also have a combined 23 unique mods/verifiers. It takes each mod to verify only 3 runs a day to be able to match the number of runs you receive.
I can understand that you all have lives, and you cannot do this every day, but to try to aim for a measly 3 runs per day is not at all difficult. You guys have so many mods and verifiers that have not verified shit for ages. You guys are not understaffed, you guys are just busy being carried by a small number of mods that do the vast majority of verification such as @nottherealben who was responsible for 43% of verification on this leaderboard in the past month.
Last time I checked the queue for this leaderboard and the category extensions, there were around 1000 pending runs. Now obviously Bedrock Edition does not get the same number of runs you guys do, but we also have about half of the verification team, with some of those mods being retired and simply listed as mods out of respect. We used to very frequently hit 200, 300, or even 400 pending runs on any given day. After we realized however that you only need each guy to do their own small part to keep the queue down, we have managed to verify almost every single run within 2-3 days of submission, many times even on the same day. Yes we are a smaller community, but the exact same applies here.
Waiting over 3 weeks for verification is really just stupid.
Edit: Typo fix
The absolute worst part of being a verifier has to be not being able to verify a run after editing it, but needing to resubmit and verify. It's so bad that these days I just hand out mod instead of verifier because I feel bad for them (example: https://www.speedrun.com/mcbe)
what is twin galaxies proof system, and if it's so strict how are there so many cheaters?
TG does not have a cheater problem. Or well, all the cheaters it has are from years ago under the previous site owner. Despite what YouTube wants you to think cheating on TG is pretty hard. For proof you need to record your attempt, show your console on camera, show your controller actually affecting the gameplay on screen, show the cables connecting your console to the screen, show you inserting the game disc, etc.
All of my submissions have been rejected for inadequate proof.
Who are the youngest GOOD speedrunners? I am 13 and I want to find runners for any game my age.
Doom got a in Mario Kart Wii at 11 I believe. That was back in 2009/2010 though. In more recent news, a player called Jyran got 2nd worldwide on Grumble Volcano glitch when he too was 11.
You're welcome @zir0nic. I would appreciate it if you told the others on the team to familiarise themselves with the moderation rules so that they stop looking like complete clowns.
@Keima @Lonk76 thank you for the serious answers. Very sad to see how everyone else, verifiers included, reacted!
I find it a bit amusing that Pac's main speedgame doesnt use speedrun.com
7 months of grinding and my first regional record after 3 years of playing. If I didnt start my break on lap 3 a smidge too early this could have been a low 32 time, which would nearly be in the worldwide top 10.
The video was also record by McRaren who held the WR on this track in 2009 and then again in 2020 so thats cool
