Recording/Streaming guide

Uprising is a pretty old game, nearly 20 years old by the time I am typing this down.

It is not a stable game and may lead to crashes whilst doing runs. Ideally, the most reliable method should be using a good laptop that only runs this game, connect that to a streaming/recording PC and then hit the button.

Single PC method:

Use OBS Studio,
insert Display capture,
crop the screen to these figures: 

¤If the display was set to 1920x1080
Crop Right: 1280,  Crop Bottom: 600

Basically you want the display recording resolution set to 640x480 which is the 1:1 resolution for both the in-game menus and gameplay. A raw recording should be 640x480 if you want to submit a DRM-free run to SDA.

nglide config settings:

Screen resolution (gameplay only) 640x480
Aspect Ratio: Fit to screen
Refresh rate: 60hz
VSync: On or Off, there's no framerate increase to 100+FPS at all if turned off.
Gamma correction: 1.0 (Default)
3DFX Logo splash screen: Off

FAQ: 
Q: Why does the in-game menus (Directdraw) look like crap on playback and the (wireframe) models spins really, really fast?
A: It turns out that Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 redistributable (x86) is the main cause. I've noticed that after recovering Windows 7, the game played really accurate. Then after installing GOG Galaxy which requires Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 to test out online mode, the Directdraw segments went into haywire and I've found the cause of this bug because after removing the 2015 version, it fixed the problem.
