[big]DIFFICULTY DIFFERENCES[/big] This short guide will show the differences between each difficulty, as well as give some general tips and strategy to keep in mind while attempting them.

EASY SP: You will gain SP from every successful hit, except from your gun (B). This includes:

  • "X" and "Y" attacks
  • "[Hold] X" attacks
  • Flash Attacks
  • Flash Revenge Attacks
  • Perfect Evade Attacks
  • Executing enemies Enemies: They deal a small amount of damage. Strategy: Use ”Instant Charged X” whenever possible, except when it’s the last wave of the area and there are less than 3 enemies on screen. Otherwise, by the time the next area will unlock, you'll be still in the attacking animation of your attack and will lose time.

NORMAL SP: You now gain less SP from every successful hit, compared to Easy difficulty. This still includes the same attacks as previously mentioned. Enemies: They make 2x more damage, which is still not that dangerous. Strategy: Now you will need to depend less on the "Red Charge" and fight normally and try execute more enemies to gain back SP.

HARD SP: Now you gain no SP from the "Red Charge" or normal attacks at all! The only ways to gain SP is to execute enemies or do "Flash Attack", "Flash Revenge Attack" and perfect dodge attacks. Enemies: They now deal large amounts of damage (3x more from Normal). So when making mistakes you will get punished very hard from enemies due to dealing more damage. Strategy: This time the strategy have changed quite a bit, since it's so dangerous to get hit. You will need to be very conservative with your SP and play very safe by doing X,Y on enemies to get them in the air and then X,X,Y to "Aerial Spin" down and knock back enemies on the ground. Also, whenever an enemy has "Red Electricity" around them, make sure to execute them to gain little SP back. If you close to dying, and have full SP bar, you should probably use it all to gain back 30% HP and kill all enemies on screen. If you don't have full SP bar, then the best choice might be to do the "Red Charge" to try survive till the area is done.

VERY HARD SP: It seems to be the same as on Hard difficulty. Enemies: The only difference now is that they attack with faster intervals, meaning they wait less time after each attack to strike again. Strategy: Use the strats as on hard but be even more careful! you need to play very safe and avoid risky play.

SPECIAL PATTERN (HARD) SP: In this mode you actually gain a tiny bit of SP each second, otherwise it's exactly as Hard difficulty. Enemies: Same as Hard difficulty. Strategy: Since there are WAY more enemies in each wave, you'll need to try gather the enemies together and deal damage to as many as possible. Do this until you've got full SP bar and decide when to use them. Maybe you could use them as soon you get it, but maybe the current wave is just normal enemies, while the next one is more difficult.
